Come and discover the beauty of the Corsican landscapes, between maquis, chestnut groves, beaches
and rivers.
Riding through Corsica's endless diversity, where the horse let you come upon special and unexpected
places.
Day -1 Saturday:
Transfer from the airport to the equestrian center in Corte.
Settle into the mobil homes. Pre-dinner drink to welcome everyone and dinner.
Day 1 Sunday :
After breakfast, meet the horses and the equipment around 9 am.
This first ride through the maquis will continue in the afternoon on the mountainous plateaux under
the villages around Corte.
Dinner and night in mobil home at the center.
Day 2 Monday:
Our bags packed we will prepare our horses and go along the Tavignanu river.
At noon we'll stop on it's banks to eat and in the afternoon our journey by the river will take us to our
gite at Sortipiani.
Day 3 Tuesday:
In the morning an ascension to the village of Antisanti, where we'll take the picnic out of our
saddlebags.
In the afternoon the path lined with cork oaks will lead us to the oriental plain and to Philippe's farm
where we will spend the evening with him and his friends.
Day 4 Wednesday:
A faster in the morning through fruit tree plantations and vines to reach the Mediterranean shore and
the beach of Terranzana at noon.
"Farniente" afternoon and swimming with the horses if it is possible.(In summer)
To end the day a short a ride back to Capicorsini to spend the night.
Day 5 Thursday:
Leaving the plain plain it's back up to the mountains and chestnut groves.
After our picnic “chez Martin” we'll ride through magnificent forests and scented maquis to Pianellu.
Day 6 Friday
For the last day of the trail we'll discover the picturesque Boziu area.
Amongst pigs and cows we will reach the fountain above Erbajolo for a picnic, before winding our
way back down to the center.
After taking care of the horses and the tack we'll end the trail with a welcome back drink and the meal.
If it is possible we can go for a little visit of Corte.

After breakfast, departure around 9:30am to the airport.

Price : 1250€- for 6 days (including all taxes).
Type of trail : Itinerant trail of 6 days (5 nights),nights in gites, mobile homes or caravans,
Except in July and August nights in tents.
Beginning of the trail : Sunday at 9am.
End of the trail : Friday at 6pm.
Number of riders : Minimum 4 riders, maximum 11 riders
If the number of riders is 3 or less, the center reserves the right to do the replacement trail
instead.
Difficulty : Riders comfortable with trot and gallop, able to prepare the horse without help.
Around 5 hours of riding per day.
The riders must be aware that the weather is very hot in the summer in Corsica.
Supplies : Every evening the riders' personal belongings will be brought to them.

DESERT DES AGRIATES
On horseback, all senses awake to discover wild and magnificent Corsica in all its splendor.
Unveiling the diversity of the landscapes, a trail in a setting that will draw you closer to nature.
Day -1 Saturday:
Settle into the mobil homes. Pre-dinner drink to welcome everyone and dinner.
Day 1 Sunday :
After breakfast, meet the horses and the equipment around 9 am.
This first ride through the maquis will continue in the afternoon on the mountainous plateaux under the villages
around Corte.

Day 2 Monday
After breakfast around 8:30am we will transfer the horses in trailers (60mn) to the beginning of the trail.
The journey of the day will begin through the plains of Castifao, we will ride on the heights over the “Balanina”.
Then we will reach the small and remote village of Novella with its big fonts and its beautiful porches, the ruins
of its castle dating back to the 11th century, its windmill…
Day 3 Tuesday
Today a big day awaits us to reach the doors of the Desert of the Agriates.
This region of 16000 hectares is not arid at all: and was used to produve wheat for the island.
It still has a lot of small stone houses, previously used as accommodation, for stocking wheat or tools or
sheltering cattle.
We will go towards the sea where we will have dinner and spend the night in gites.
Day 4 Wednesday
After breakfast, a ride along the fabulous beach of Saleccia and a dip with the horses ( weather permitting)
After lunch, departure to admire the magnificent view on the golf of Saint-Florent, its beaches of golden sand
and its turquoise water.
Then we will dine and spend the night at Saint-Florent in the mobil homes of a campsite.
Day 5 Thursday
The morning will be dedicated to farniente and a visit of Saint-Florent and/or its beach.
The shorter ride in the afternoon will lead us up to the Nebbiu region.
We will cross this area, very different from the rest of Corsica, enjoying the view of it's vineyards and green
pastures up to the small village of Vallecale to dine and spend the night in a gite.
Day 6 Friday
An early start this morning for the ascent towards Bocca di Tenda, peaking at 1300m.
On its pass, we will have a magnificent panorama on the corsican mountains, if we are lucky we will be able to
see the herd of horses living wild.
Then we will go down towards the village of Pietralba and the Asco river to return to the vehicles that will bring
us back to the equestrian center.

RANDONNEE DES LACS
An escapade towards the lakes and summits of Corsica
Towards the lands of the shepherds and their herds.
A preserved area where time has stopped.
Day -1 Saturday
Settle into the mobil homes. Pre-dinner drink to welcome everyone, presentation of the trail and
dinner.
Day 1 Sunday
Departure around 8am, transfer of the horses and riders to go to the starting point.
Ride by the lake of Calacuccia (800m), to go to the banks of the Golu river.
In the heart of the land of the shepherds, in this basin surrounded by the highest summits of Corsica,
we will enjoy the view of the magnificent valley of the Niolu.
We will go to the equestrian center chez Manue to spend a night under the Lariccio pine-trees.
Day 2 Monday
After breakfast, we will continue our ride on the paths through the forests surrounded by the
mountains.
We will spend the night in the winter sports resort and we will be able to dine at the resort's restaurant.
Day 3 Tuesday
After leaving the Vergio pass we will follow the tracks of the hikers in the mountain, once the St
Pierre pass (1400m) is crossed we will discover the magnificent lake of Nino (1800m) with its wild
herds.
We will carry on in the afternoon on the GR20 (long distance trail that crosses Corsica diagonally
from north to south) to join the shepherds of Vaccaghia.
Day 4 Wednesday
Today we will follow the hikers' tracks towards the lake of Creno (1300m), a magnificent body of
water surrounded by massive pine-trees.
In the afternoon for the bravest of us it is possible to go discover the lake of Goria (1800m) only
accessible by foot.
We will spend the night at the refuge of Vaccaghia..
Day 5 Thursday
Today we will leave this beautiful place to follow the Tavignano from it's beginnings, and after going
through this arid valley we will arrive in the forest of Melo where the huge pine-trees rise majestically.
Near the river we will spend the night at the refuge of Sega.

Day 6 Friday
This morning we will ride towards the Arinella pass (1600m) overhanging the forests of Niolu.
We will picnic at the sheep-barn of Padule and enjoy the last moments in the Corsican mountains.
After skirting the mountain of Cizzolo (1400m) we will come back to Corte, vehicles will transport us
to the equestrian center.

Replacement program for trails with less than 3 riders.
Day -1 Saturday
Transfer from the airport to the equestrian center in Corte (1h from the airport).
Settle into the mobil homes. Pre-dinner drink to welcome everyone, presentation of the trail and
dinner.
Day 1 Sunday
Preparation of the horses at 9am for our first day.
Today the itinerary will lead us up the heights overlooking the banks of the Tavignanu river, before
reaching a magnificent spot for the picnic, near the clear water.
Night in mobil home at the equestrian center.
Day 2 Monday
Once the bags ready we will prepare the horse to go along the banks of the Tavignanu river. We will
came to a halt at the ancient windmill where lunch wil be brought to us. In the afternoon we will carry
on our journey towards the rest house of Sortipiani.
Day 3 Tuesday
Today's ride will lead us through the pastoral region of the Boziu-we will meet herds of roaming
animals. With the picturesque images we'll find ourselves in the atmosphere of the past. Night in mobil
home at the equestrian center.
Day 4 Wednesday
We will go towards the village of Sainte Lucie di Mercurio, after this ascent we will be able to enjoy
lunch in the chestnut grove.
The afternoon's ride will allow us to overlook the valley and enjoy outstanding views.
Night in mobil home at the equestrian center.
Day 5 Thursday
We will be driven to the Desert of the Agriates. Meeting different horses, we'll ride along the beautiful
beaches with white sand of Ostriconi to reach the sheep-barns of Guignu.
Night in the former sheep-barns.
Day 6 Friday
For this last day we will take a path which allowing us to enjoy the empty beachs along the Agriate
coast.
After a drive back to Corte and spend the night in mobil homes at the equestrian center.
The day's itineraries can be switched because of the weather or safety concerns.
Day +1 Saturday
After breakfast we will leave at 9:30am for the airport.

Replacement program for trails with less than 3 riders.
Type of trail : Trail where you come back every night on the equestrian center on 6 days, 3
night in mobil homes in the equestrian center and 2 nights in gites
Number of riders : Minimum 2 riders.
The riders must be aware that the weather is very warm in the summer in Corsica.
Supplies : Generally the picnics will be carried in the saddlebags.
Dates : on the dates of Mer et Montagne, Désert des Agriates and Randonnée des Lacs.
