A form of sexual exploitation that employs nonphysical forms of coercion to extort sexual favors from
the victim. Sextortion refers to the broad category of
sexual exploitation in which abuse of power is the
means of coercion, as well as to the category of sexual
exploitation in which threatened release of sexual
images or information is the means of coercion

then made them pay - or turn tricks
A Long Island couple has been charged with schemes based
on sex, lies and videotape that escalated to blackmail and
even forced prostitution, police said yesterday.

accounts

Chats messages indicated sextortion
▪
Facebook searched their records for suspect IP and
determined suspect had logged into multiple
takeover accts and his own acct with the same IP

Facebook sent Cybertip to local law enforcement

Law enforcement located and interviewed primary
victim (16 yoa) in Houston, TX

Victim was tricked into providing suspect her
Facebook password
▪
Suspect immediately changed password and
password recovery options locking her out of acct
▪
Suspect searched victims messaging until he found
inappropriate images she had previously sent

Through Facebook, victim confronted suspect and
asked for her Facebook account back
▪
Suspect confronted victim with the inappropriate
image and threatened to send it to all of her friends
and family if she did not produce more images and
video
▪
Victim complied with suspects demands and
produced and sent multiple images and videos of
herself to suspect including live Skype chat session
▪
Victimization lasted over 4 hours

Port Arthur Police, Beaumont Police, and HSI
executed search warrant at suspect’s house
▪
Suspect was home and interviewed
▪
Suspect admitted to sextorting appx 100 victims over
2 years
▪
Forensics is still ongoing
