Introduction
Desroches is an idyllic coral island surrounded by 14 km of white sandy beaches,
shallow waters and a protective reef: a haven of peace and tranquility. The
beautifully furnished colonial-style suites, each affording natural seclusion and
privacy, are scattered throughout the lush vegetation and palm groves. They are all
just a few metres from the west-facing beach near the main restaurant and
swimming pool.
Every guest has the use of a bicycle to discover the island’s lush hinterland and its
secluded, deserted sandy beaches. To discover the underwater world, Desroches
has a PADI diving and water sports centre offering snorkelling, scuba diving and
game-fishing. The Escape Spa offers a range of soothing and invigorating
treatments which can be enjoyed in either the Spa centre, your own suite or on the
beach in the shade of the palm trees.

Location
Desroches Island forms part of the Amirantes group of islands, located 230km
southwest of Mahé. The scenic flight takes about 40 minutes.

Dining
Desroches Island is available on an All Inclusive basis only. The main pavilion
restaurant, Le Veloutier, overlooks the main swimming pool and serves a superb
range of Creole and International cuisine, with set menus and live cooking buffets,
using fresh organic produce from the gardens. The Ghost Crab Grill & Pizzeria
offers lunches under the trees whilst L'Amirantes Bar serves up speciality cocktails,
beers, wines and soft drinks.
