Baci “Carpaccio” with Cusumano Nero d’Avola Fruit Crumble
INGREDIENTS
• 8 Baci Perugina Chocolates
• 1 Mango
• ¾ cup Mixed Berries
• 4 Digestive Cookies (crumbled)
• ¼ cup Butter (small cubes)
• 1 bottle Cusumano Nero d'Avola Wine
• Icing Sugar for Decoration
SERVES 4
P R E PA R AT I O N
Peel the mango and cut into thin slices. Place the mango and berries into a
bowl and add enough Cusumano Nero d’Avola to cover the fruit; marinate
for 10 minutes. Divide the fruit evenly amongst 4 plates or serve family
style. Drizzle with Cusumano Nero d’Avola marinade and cover with the
crumbled digestive cookies. Sprinkle with the butter cubes and a light
dusting of icing sugar. Bake in a low oven (250° F) for 8-10 minutes until
the butter is melted and the cookies are browned. Slice the Baci Chocolates
as thinly as possible and arrange on top of the dessert while it is still warm.
Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.
