Beste student,
Beste doctoraatstudent,
High-techbedrijven spelen een belangrijke rol in onze Vlaamse economie. Het zijn deze bedrijven die door hun innoverende technologieën
van onze economie een dynamische, creatieve en concurrerende kenniseconomie maken. Om innovaties te kunnen doorvoeren, hebben
deze bedrijven uiteraard nood aan goed opgeleide mensen met een
sterke interesse in techniek.
Veel van de meest innoverende bedrijven zijn echter niet zo gekend bij
het publliek, en wat ze nu precies doen is vaak nog veel minder gekend.
Met onze negende editie van de IEEE Job Fair voor high-tech bedrijven
willen we jullie laten kennismaken met innovatieve bedrijven. Hierbij
hebben we zowel oog voor gevestigde waarden, als voor de iets jongere
spin-offs die met hun high-tech ontwikkelingen vaak dichter staan bij
onze dagelijkse leefwereld dan gedacht. De kleinere bedrijven in deze
interessante sector doen veelal beroep op rekruteringsbureaus voor
hun aanwervingen, daarom zullen ook zij deze namiddag vertegenwoordigd zijn.
Daarnaast willen we je er ook aan herinneren dat IEEE Student Branch,
CenEka en PKarus veel meer zijn dan enkel de organisatoren van deze
jobfair. Ook in de loop van het academiejaar kan je in contact komen
met interessante bedrijven tijdens seminaries of bedrijfsbezoeken die
we organiseren. Moet het trouwens nog gezegd worden dat er vaak een
aangename receptie op volgt? Naast het leggen van contacten met de
bedrijfswereld, brengen we de techniek ook nog op vele andere manieren dichter bij onze leden. Denk maar aan de twee e-Karts en de robot-

competitie van IEEE, de las- en elektriciteitscursussen van PKarus en
de programmeerwedstrijden waar CenEka aan deelneemt. Meer informatie over deze activiteiten en de verenigingen zelf, vind je achteraan in
deze brochure terug.
We hopen je nog vaak te zien op onze toekomstige activiteiten en
wensen je alvast een aangename en interessante namiddag toe!
