Manual Guide to install iDatabytes iBackup
Step 1: Click Next
Step 2: Select ‘I accept the agreement’ and click ‘Next’
Step 3: Select Install as a Window service > Click Next
Step 4: Select Local System Account (as default) > Click Next
Step 5: Enter your iDataBytes ID value and Customer Name and Click Next
Step 6: Choose Destination Location (recommend as default) and click next
Step 7: Select Program Folder (as default) then click Next
Step 8: Select Additional Tasks > Recommend as default > Click Next
Step 9: Click Install to Start Copying Files
Step 10: After finished installing, Click Finish to exit Setup.
Step 11: iDatabytes website will pop out.
Please enter User Name and Password to login
Step 12: Select your local time zone and save
Click OK to proceed
Step 13: Go to Administration, select Authenticate Client
Step 14: Select your Server Name and enter New Password & Confirm New Password
The Client was successfully authenticated will show.
Step 15: After the Client was successfully authenticated, please go to Administration select Test
Connectivity to Backup Server.
This is to check the authentication is successfully.
Step 16: Go to Backup > Select Add Backup Schedule
Step 17: To create a new Backup Schedule:
(a) Please enter Backup Schedule Name
(b) Select the file you want to backup
(c) Set as default for the Backup Type
(d) Enter your password and confirm password
(e) Select 3 hours (as recommended) to run your backup
(f) Click Save Backup.
After that, click OK to confirm.
The Backup is running in progress.
To check the backup status:
Step 1: Go to Backup > Select List Backup Schedules
Step 2: The Summary Reports will appear.
To Restore Backup data:
Step 1: Go to Restore > Click on List Backup For Restore
Click on the Restore icon
Step 2: Find the file you want to restore and enter your Encryption Password.
Click on OK to reconfirm the data you need to restore.
Step 3: Please go to your data location to check your restore data.
