About the Book
The U.S. Krag Bayonets culminates three years of intensive research, involving numerous visits to more
than a dozen different research facilities, and extensive correspondence with some of the leading Krag
bayonet collectors in the United States. This work emphasizes original documentation, including U.S.
Army reports, letters, endorsements, and telegrams. It will have 332 pages, including over 350 color
photographs, and will provide abundant documentation for readers who wish to peruse the original
writings. The book, comprised of eight chapters and three appendices, will be available March 20, 2009.
