RECONCILIATION (Confessions)
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated at 4:00 P.M. on
Saturdays. The priest will remain in the confessional for as long as
penitents are present but not later than Mass time.
BAPTISMS
Baptisms are celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 1:30
P.M. In order to better appreciate this sacrament, parents meet
with Fr. Pat for an interview and then attend our Baptismal
Program. The Baptismal Program is offered once a month.
Godparents are also welcome to attend. Please call Fr. Pat at 8836675 to make arrangements.
Baptisms in Spanish are celebrated on the 2nd Sunday at 1:30
P.M. Please call Fr. Pilar Arnulfo Urquilla Sosa at 516-883-6675.
MARRIAGE
Couples should call the Rectory at least SIX MONTHS in advance. No
date or any other arrangements should be made until the couple has been

Peace – the first gift of the risen Lord. Just as Jesus sent the
apostles out into the world to share His peace and Good
News, so too, He sends us. We should look for opportunities to share His peace with our brothers and sisters not only
within our local parish boundaries, but outside of them as
well. In giving, you will receive the peace of Christ.

MISSION BOARD NEWS
The St Peter’s Mission Board, which oversees the
commitment to the Uganda orphanage, reached out for the
third year to the men at the North Shore Shelter in Glen
Cove. The following volunteer angels decided on the
dinner menus, cooked the meals at home, and travelled to
Glen Cove on Thursday evenings to serve the 20-25 men
awaiting dinner:

A study produced by the Pew Hispanic Center reveals that
“Rapid increases in the foreign-born population at the state
level are not associated with negative effects on the employment of native-born workers.” In fact, given that the
number of native born low wage earners is falling nationally, immigrants are playing an important role in offsetting
that decline. The Urban Institute reports that between 2000
and 2005 the total number of low wage workers declined by
approximately 1.8 million while the number of unskilled
immigrant workers increased by 620,000, thus offsetting the
total decline by about a third.

mailed out in the coming week to
returning students.
If your family is adding a new
student this year, you will be able
to download the New Student
Registration Form from the website starting the week of April 4th.
New Family Registration Forms will also be available.

FULL PAYMENT is required at time of registration.
This includes a Book and Materials Fee of $35 per
family.

BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE is required at registration,
if you have a child joining the program for the first
time (even if your child was baptized at St. Peters.)
We CAN NOT process registration without baptismal
certificate.

Please note: There will be a substantial late fee per
child if re-registration is received after May 31st.


This year our bake sale will be after all Masses on
April 9th and 10th.
All donations will go to feeding hungry school
children at AWO St. Michael School in Ethiopia,
while supporting their local farms, and maintaining
them in school.

located in the church, or you can contribute to our
donation jar in the religious formation office.
