OF THE
CHAPLET
OF
DIVINE MERCY
Today (April 3rd) at 1 p.m.
in the Chapel of the IHM Spirituality Center
This bilingual service will also include Exposition
of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.
Instructions in English and Spanish are in today’s
bulletin. Let us pray for the needs of the Church,
our nation, and the world.
“Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the
Father has sent me, so I send you.’” John 20:21
Peace – the first gift of the risen Lord. Just as Jesus sent the
apostles out into the world to share His peace and Good
News, so too, He sends us. We should look for opportunities to share His peace with our brothers and sisters not only
within our local parish boundaries, but outside of them as
well. In giving, you will receive the peace of Christ.
STEWARDSHIP CORNER
We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who
put their faith into action, even when they may not “see” the
fruits of their service, relying on God’s grace to do the rest.
From Art to Legal and Marketing to Videography, the
Helping Hands of St. Peter’s are eager to help out! Need a
Helping Hand? Call us, The Stewardship Committee.

SERIES FROM JUSTICE FOR IMMIGRANTS
FACTS & FIGURES: DISPELLING MYTHS

Immigrants Take Jobs Away from Americans
FALSE
A study produced by the Pew Hispanic Center reveals that
“Rapid increases in the foreign-born population at the state
level are not associated with negative effects on the employment of native-born workers.” In fact, given that the
number of native born low wage earners is falling nationally, immigrants are playing an important role in offsetting
that decline. The Urban Institute reports that between 2000
and 2005 the total number of low wage workers declined by
approximately 1.8 million while the number of unskilled
immigrant workers increased by 620,000, thus offsetting the
total decline by about a third.

Los Inmigrantes Quitan el Trabajo a los
Estadounidenses FALSO

BAKE SALE!
This year our bake sale will be after all Masses on
April 9th and 10th.
All donations will go to feeding hungry school
children at AWO St. Michael School in Ethiopia,
while supporting their local farms, and maintaining
them in school.
If you would like to donate to our mission, envelopes are
located in the church, or you can contribute to our
donation jar in the religious formation office.

Certificate (if required) and Tuition in the
return envelope.

Drop off Registration Form and check in the
Religious Formation Office or at the Rectory.
Our door is always open.
Timely registration is so important for
our planning. It helps us ensure that
our classrooms are staffed appropriately
and materials are ordered for students.
If you are not sure of your schedule for next year,
please register and we can always make changes. It
is more important for your child to have a seat in the
