Laurens Baptist Association Mission Statement:
“The Laurens Baptist Association is committed to assisting the
churches in fulfilling the Great Commission and serving others
through God’s grace and love.”
What a summer this has been. God has done some great
things in our churches and in our association. I am so thankful
for all of you and for what God has done and is doing in our
midst. This year in New Mexico, we had two great mission trips.
God was so faithful to do what only God can do. We had
some good Backyard Bible Clubs and salvations and then our
VBS was so awesome. We had way over 100 each day, and
many salvations. We did something new this year as well. On
Thursday night, we had an event for parents and had over 150
there. They were able to hear the Gospel presented and we
fed them and spent some time with them and built relationships. We also had a Youth event on Friday and had a good
crowd and a good worship service and then we fed them and
played games with them and built relationships. We are making plans to build a church in Chiapas, Mexico. This is in the
jungle with the Naha tribe. The tribe is providing the wood.
They are cutting it and making boards and we will help build it.
August is JOY Ministries month in our association. Please show
the DVD in your worship services and promote this ministry. Also if you will give out the envelopes and encourage people to
give to help support this ministry.

BACKPACKS LAST YEAR!
Again, this year we will send a mission
team to Bland, West Virginia. They will
actually hand-out the backpacks! This is
always a blessed event!
OUR GOAL FOR 2016 IS:

Please encourage your church and others to be a part of this ministry
of giving to needy children. Please deliver all back packs to the LBA
no later than Monday, November 28, 2016.
If you would like to order backpacks
through us, please call the office and let us
know how many you or your churchthwould
like to purchase BEFORE August 30 !
The cost of the backpacks should be in the
$6-$7 range.
LBA Ministry Centers
The Dublin Ministry Center is
located at 300 N Calhoun St in
Dublin. The center is open on
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. The hours are 10am-2pm.
The Bible Studies are on
Tuesdays at 10:00am and
Thursdays at 10:30am.
