Revised PRGR Sweep Series to Go on Sale
Beginning and Intermediate Female Golfer Club Series
Tokyo – The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. announced today that it has revised the PRGR Sweep club series
for beginning and intermediate female golfers. The lineup comprises the driver, fairway woods (4, 5, 7W),
utilities (5, 6UT), a four-iron set #7 – Pw and Aw, Sw and putters.
The Sweep series club design emphasizes unique ideas for female golfers, and easy hit. This is a club series
for beginning and intermediate female golfers with a head speed of around 30m/second to enjoy golfing in
style. As an idea to help golfers improve their scores, the new series has the ideal carry engraved on the head
of each club other than the driver and putters, eliminating confusion in club selection during play so golfers
can concentrate on their swings. The color is a purplish pink with a mature image, used only on limited areas
of the club. The revised PRGR Sweep retains the popular coaching grip from the prior series, which indicates
the ideal grip by lining up with the thumb marks, giving golfers greater confidence.
The club design makes it easy to see that the crown is parallel to the ground when gripping drivers and fairway woods. It emphasizes the image of the sweep, reducing scooping, topping and other mishits. Overall, the
center of gravity distance has been made slightly shorter from the prior series, improving the ball grip. Like
the prior series, the clubs have exclusive shafts with a large flex that increases head speed even with a small
swing, making it easy to hit nice shots.
