Description
ESBI operates, maintains and project manages the power
generation and distribution at the Kulim Hi Tech Park. The
independent power utility is dedicated to providing a quality
power supply to the Kulim Park customers. A reliable and
high quality power supply is an essential feature of the
manufacturing process for these customers – including
some of the leading companies in the global electronics
manufacturing sector.

Operation and Maintenance of the 220MW CCGT plant and distribution system,
Responsible for activities associated with managing the utility system and customer billing.
Providing design and project management services
for the installation of new customer connections.
Technology
The power system includes a 220MW CCGT plant in two
blocks using Frame 6B technology and connected to the
customers by a 132kV distribution network. All cables were
installed underground improving reliability and susceptibility
to lightning strikes.
