Mr. Josh Gottheimer
PO Box 584
Ridgewood, New Jersey 07451
Dear Mr. Gottheimer,
With Primary Day behind us, I offer my congratulations to you on advancing to the general
election. I look forward to a campaign season filled with great debate about the best solutions for
the future of our district and our country.
In addition to my duties in Washington that are dictated by the floor schedule of the House of
Representatives, I have a robust schedule of constituent services responsibilities in the district.
As a sitting member of Congress, my time is always prioritized toward serving the constituents
of the Fifth District – regardless of the election schedule.
No matter where I go in the district, from Hackensack to Hackettstown, I hear people saying a lot
of the same things. The folks I speak to tell me they want more job opportunities, lower taxes,
and a government that lives within its means. Most of all, they want to leave behind a better
country for their children and grandchildren.
Throughout my time as the representative for the Fifth District, I have fought for policies to grow
our economy, create jobs and strengthen our national security. Our county needs a representative
who knows that leadership means fighting for the interests of the Fifth District, regardless of
pressure from special interests in Washington. This has been my guiding philosophy during my
time in office.
Once my constituent services calendar is finalized for this fall, I will be in touch about finding an
opportunity for us to appear in a public forum to debate ideas.
Sincerely,
Scott Garrett
Member of Congress
New Jersey’s Fifth District
