The Energy Services division of Brady Trane Service, a Trane Enterprise franchise, operates
out of Raleigh, North Carolina. The company acts as a general contractor, assessing
companies’ energy spend and then finding effective solutions.
Clearing the clutter.
Before the team at Brady Trane discovered Procore, Jeff Crum, the Operations Leader for
Energy Services, explained that work was disorganized and cluttered. “It was a combination of
network files, spreadsheets, and all sorts of documentation just spread out. There wasn’t a lot
of process and I immediately saw the need for some sort of project management database.”
With Procore’s all-in-one solution, Brady Trane was able to finally close all those tabs and
spreadsheets and keep all their project data in one central location.
Finding a software that goes wherever you go.
Procore’s cloud-based solution also eliminated the problem of software compatibility. When
web-based software is optimized for mobile, the same information is displayed across all
different devices meaning it can be used anywhere, anytime, as long as an Internet connection
is available.
“We wanted something cloud-based, something that we could use all over the state. We
needed to be able to access projects all the time from anywhere.” Keeping these requirements
in mind, Brady Trane found Procore and immediately jumped into product demonstrations.
“We got a trial version, started to play around with it, and really liked how the software
performed, the functionality, and the ease of use. The cloud-based setup was a big deal for us.
Other solutions are housed on a network, hard to access, and cumbersome.”
In addition to a cloud-based solution, Brady Trane was searching for a solution with robust
mobile tools. Sonya Wigger, a project manager for the energy services division, uses the
mobile tools more frequently than the desktop version of Procore. “I use my iPad all the time.
I’ve also got Procore downloaded on my phone so I can access it anywhere”. Procore’s mobile
apps allow Brady Trane to access job-related information from a mobile device, giving them
the information they need to complete work on time.

Working together to make implementation
look easy.
“We had an assigned customer rep, and we did a couple of WebEx training sessions with a
smaller group, and then a larger training later. We utilized Procore’s video tutorials for most
of the training.” Overall, Jeff explained, the implementation was far easier than the group was
expecting.
Brady Trane relied heavily on their Procore account manager, but found that they were able to
get through most of the training on their own. “The system is very intuitive and user friendly.
Procore was easy to implement company-wide”.
Worth every penny.
“We saw the value very quickly, almost immediately. We had no project management
database, so it was just a mess. From the moment we had Procore, projects were moved
into the system and managed online.” Jeff adds that implementing Procore into each of their
projects was quick, easy, and worth every penny.
