comedienne Lynn Trefzger takes the Palace stage! For over
25 years, Lynn has given life to a trunk full of comical characters.
Audiences world-wide have fallen in love with Lynn and her
cast of crazy friends including a drunken and lovable camel, a
grumpy old man and a feisty little girl. Her vocal illusion talents
were first brought to national audiences on TV’s popular “Star
Search” and she has since performed with artists including Jeff
Foxworthy, Ray Romano, Drew Carey, and Faith Hill. She is also
featured in the documentary film, “I’m No Dummy” along with
other ventriloquist stars such as Jay Johnson, Jeff Dunham, and
Jimmy Nelson.

Christmas
at the Palace
production is playful,
joyous and heartfelt. This year’s
theme, Home Town Blessings, will
celebrate the community’s past and
present featuring the artwork of local
artist, Joe Howard.
The show will feature many new,
as well as veteran acts to the stage
this holiday season. Clare is thrilled
with the level of talent scheduled to
appear in this year’s show. “I am most
pleased about featuring the PALACE
THEATRE BIG BAND who will open Act
II,” she says. The Big Band, under the
direction of George Schram, includes
members Bill Swihart, Rick Baird,
Steve Cumbie, Neil Miller, Ed Wise,
Mark Stoneburner, Bob Walczak,
Thom Richards, Greg Lauer, David
Johnston, David Steele, Nick Koehler
and James Besch. Band vocalists are
Margie Bowman, Steve deWeber,
John Garnes, Sara Grote, Charles
Groth, Leah Menzie, Dustin Rawlins
and Amanda Zucker. Clare continues,
“In addition, THE MARIONAIRES will
return to the stage with their lively
renditions of “You’re Gonna Miss
Me When I’m Gone,” and “Jingle Bell
Rock.”
Clare shared the program’s impressive
line-up which includes soloists
Victoria Meadows singing, “Have
Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,”
Dustin Rawlins-“My Grown Up
Christmas List,” Tanner Wink-“Proud
of Your Boy,” Carter Rawlins-“There
Is a Santa Claus,” and Shannel
Bracy-Malcom singing, “Mary’s
Song.” Duets include “Christmas
Is a Time to Love” by Halli and
Elliana Schenk, “Christmas Day”
by Sara Grote and John Garnes
and “Mary, Did You Know?” by
Brian and Madisen Schenk.
Crowd pleasing dance numbers
will be performed by several
hometown favorites including
DOUCE SR. and DOUCE JR.
dance lines, DIVERSE DANCE
MOVES and EDYE COOK DANCE
COMPANY. Matt Meade and
Sydney Randall will perform
with the Big Band tapping to
“Hot Chocolate.”
A new addition to the show
will be SASSY SEVEN LADIES
a capella group performing
“That’s Christmas to Me.”
Members are Leah Menzie,
Nicole Hummel, Rachel
Osborne, Cara Osborne, Emily
Service, Kristy Service and
Shannon Linville. THE LISIECKI
BROTHERS (Thomas and sons
Mateusz, Alexander and
Sebastian) will entertain
audiences with “Feliz
Navidad.” Many more
new surprises are
planned but are
kept under wraps
until show-time.
However, Clare
revealed that
audiences can
expect to see
an exciting
new tap line
featured this
year!
Of course, it wouldn’t be
Christmas at the Palace without
the PROMINENT MEN’S TAP
LINE, LADIES TAP LINE, and
the amusing antics of Santa
Claus (Bruce Cudd,) Mrs. Claus
(Sharon Gale,) and Sassy, the Elf
(Julia Vanderhoff.) A children’s
choir, Salute to the Armed
Forces, and a sleigh full of joyful
chorus numbers complete the
holiday spirit and program.

This special holiday event is back by audience request, and we’re making a good thing
even better! Organist Father Buffer will kick off the show and accompany the 1929 short
silent film BIG BUSINESS starring Laurel & Hardy. Following the movie, local organists
will play a selection of favorite holiday tunes, both as solos and sing-a-longs, on the
theatre’s Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. Audience members can join in and sing-a-long with
the music or just sit back and savor the golden voice of the Mighty Wurlitzer. Donations
will be received for the organ repair fund.

Director Emily Yaksic announces
an exciting opportunity for
children ages 8 to 18 years
to be part of the Palace
Theatre’s junior stage play,
Charlotte’s Web. Yaksic will
hold auditions on Monday,
Dec. 28 and Tuesday, Dec. 29
from 5pm to 7pm each day.
Yaksic seeks 25 individuals to
fill the roles of a variety of lead
and supporting characters as
well as non-speaking parts for
this stage play. Children who
are interested in helping only
in a backstage capacity are
welcome to attend auditions as
well. They should be prepared
to fill out an information sheet
and learn about how they can
play an important role (set,
costume, makeup, props, etc.)
in this production.
All participants may audition
either day and should enter
through the front
theatre doors.
Auditioners should
dress comfortably and
come prepared with
a short monologue or
poem of their choice.
A small selection of
monologues and/
or poems will be available in
the Palace Theatre Box Office
beginning on December 1,
2015. Children interested in
a principle role should also
be prepared to read from the
script.
Yaksic is a Theatre Education
Graduate of Ohio Wesleyan
University and currently
teaches drama in Columbus City
Schools. She is thrilled to make
her Palace directorial debut in
this beautiful and meaningful
play about friendship.

Miss Nelson is Missing
Monday, Dec 14 @ 10am & 1pm
The final School Matinee of 2015 will bring a literary favorite to life on
the Palace stage. Students will experience a professionally produced
show which is designed to enhance curriculum and meet Ohio Academic
Content standards for grades K-5.
The lighthearted musical, Miss Nelson is Missing, teaches a valuable
life lesson and reminds us all to show appreciation for others. The play
begins in Room 207 with the worst-behaved class in the whole school
– even though they have the sweetest teacher of all, Miss Nelson. But
when she unexpectedly does not come to school one day, the class gets
the strictest substitute they
have ever met...Miss Viola
Swamp! The search is on for
Miss Nelson, who seems to
have vanished. Hopefully
the students of Room 207
will find her before it’s too
late – for them!
Admission is $3.50 per
student and chaperone. For
