13TH MEN’S LAW ENFORCEMENT &
FIREFIGHTER EMMAUS RETREAT
A Weekend Retreat for men that are Law
Enforcement & Firefighter (past and present).
*What is the Men’s Law Enforcement & Firefighter
Emmaus? It is a retreat put on by men of the law
enforcement and fire fighting community, based on the
appearance of Jesus to the disciples walking along the
Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35).
*Why a Men’s Law Enforcement & Firefighter
Emmaus? Because every emergency first responder
could use some time away from the hustle and bustle of
today’s busy world; allowing his Christian brothers in
the law enforcement & fire fighting community to
serve him.
*What happens during the weekend? You will
hear a few talks given by different men from different
parishes. Still, no lectures or assignments.
*When? Friday evening July 8 - Sunday afternoon
July 10.
*Where? MorningStar Renewal Center,
7275 SW 124 St.
*Is there a donation required? Yes a donation of
$150.00. However, do not let this prevent you from
attending. If you need any assistance, speak to any of
the below listed brothers .
If you have any questions please contact;
Wil Fleites (MDFR) 786-218-2555
Robert Costa (NDFR) 786-367-7633

EMMAUS SISTERS
Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

JOIN US AS WE
CONTINUE OUR JOURNEY
Saturday, July 16
we will be hosting a
LIVING EMMAUS RETREAT
Dear Friends,
We can invite others to God’s kingdom, but we are not
in control of how people respond. We need to continue
doing all through love, nothing through fear or force.
Take time to deepen your union with God in prayer.
Give thanks for God’s gift of life and the gifts you have
been given. Ask for help where you are in need. Turn
to the community of the Church to fill in the gifts you
lack. Now go and proclaim the gospel one person,
one day, one moment at a time.
Take time to refresh the life of the Spirit that has been
given you. Then witness your faith like disciples and
believers throughout the ages. Be assured of my prayers
for you and for your dear ones. May the good Lord bless
you with wisdom and peace. Please pray for me.
In Christ,
Msgr. Pablo A. Navarro

THE HOPE EXPRESS IS COMING TO
ST. JOHN NEUMANN!!!
Catholic Parish of St. John Neumann
BLACK AND INDIAN MISSION
COLLECTION
Next week, our parish will take up the 131st annual
National Black and Indian Mission collection. Our
support of this collection helps build the Church in
African American, Native American, and Alaska Native
communities from coast to coast. Schools, parish
religious education programs, and diocesan ministries
depend on your generosity to help them spread the Gospel
of Jesus Christ!
Miami Dade Animal Services will be visiting
SJN with their HOPE express

need of forever homes.
They'll be visiting us on
Sunday, July 10 and will
have pets available

these animals in need.

Wednesdays of the month.

LOOKING FOR
WELCOMING PEOPLE
Do you have a few minutes to spare each Saturday or
Sunday? We are seeking volunteers to help with the
Welcome and Information Booth placed after every mass
outside the Parish area. Volunteers would spend about
fifteen minutes after their Sunday Mass attendance staffing
the booth and answering questions from visitors and would
be parishioners, mostly directing them to who can help them.
This a great way to give back to your parish and assist our
Holy Church. For more information or to sign on, please
contact Juan Balloveras at 786-344-0143 or by
NEW PARISHIONERS WELCOME
MEETING
If you attend mass here at St. John Neumann, you are
encouraged to register with us. Please attend our next
New Parishioners meeting on Sunday, August 22 at
9:30 a.m. in room E. We urge you to get involved with
our ministries and, as a stewardship parish, ask that you
use your Offertory envelopes. If you are not both a
registered and active member of our Parish, Baptisms,
Marriages, Sponsor certificates and other documents
needed from the Church will take longer to obtain and,
in some cases, not possible. You must be attending Mass
regularly and be an active member of the Parish.
