LWMLC ABC DISTRICT CONVENTION 2016
WELCOME TO CONVENTION
Welcome to Abbotsford
Welcome to the 31st Convention of the LWMLC
Alberta-British Columbia District and Welcome
also to the Beautiful Fraser Valley!
Did you know that the Fraser Valley is known as
the “Berry Capital of the World” or maybe just BC
(minor technicality)? We are known for our
strawberries, raspberries, blueberries,
blackberries, cranberries and salmon berries. We
also have loganberries and salal berries that grow
wild in the bushes. All of these berries help to
make the people who live here in the valley
“Berry Happy!” We intend to share that
“Happiness” with all of you this weekend.
We hope everyone who is visiting with us in the
valley this weekend also feels welcome and we
pray you will join us in Praising God at this
convention as we are “Sparked by the Word, and
Sent to the World.”
Hospitality Lounge
On behalf of the 2016 convention committee, we
would like to welcome you to Abbotsford, B.C. Thank
you for coming and we trust you will be comfortable
with your accommodations, satisfied with your meals
and happy with your surroundings. We are praying for
pleasant weather so you can enjoy the city of
Abbotsford and take part in the Berry Festival. So
please enjoy and be attentive during the convention but
take time to delight in the sights and sounds of
Abbotsford.
Also remember if you have needs or just want to say hi
feel free to approach any committee member (we are
wearing red scarves).
Following Christ my Leader I welcome you.
May you be truly blessed and inspired as we are
“Sparked by the Word”.

PRE CONVENTION SERVANT EVENT
Thursday at 2 PM, those who signed up for the
servant event will meet at the Student Centre to head
off to the Abbotsford Food Bank. The plan is to sort
food for an hour or so.
Unfortunately, we were advised last week that the
food bank is short of food. So the ladies of our
Transportation Committee have been heading up a
food drive in the Zone and we will take the food with
us. Praise the Lord for His Grace and Mercy.
