The Imperium`s Most Wanted Background and Results Book

EMPEROR’S BLACK SHIP “DELIVERANCE”
Far to the north-east within the Imperium lies the largely uncharted region of space
known as the Ghoul Stars. They are a truly desolate region, consisting of worlds lit by
the cold rays of dying suns. Across the Imperium it is known as an area of void space,
it is widely known that no expedition into Ghoul Stars has ever returned.
The loyal chapters of the Adeptus Astartes (Space Marines) have driven the enemies
of the Emperor deep within the Eye of Terror and across the void in the Ghoul Stars.
The most wanted enemies of the Imperium have been captured and locked within
status pods deep in the bowels of the Black Ship “Deliverance”, ready for their journey
to Terra.
Returning from the Ghoul Stars a
strange and violent warp storm ravished
the region of space. The Black Ship
“Deliverance” was caught in the middle
of the storm and all communications
were lost with the ship. Immediately a
rescue force was despatched to the
region.
The rescue force discovered the floating
wreck of the “Deliverance” on the edge
of Imperium space. There were no life
signs detected.
A boarding party discovered that the
hold of the Black Ship had been ripped
open to the warp and the Imperium’s
Most Wanted in the status pods had
been scattered across the universe.
The hunt for them would begin again.
Agents of the Inquisition and loyal Space Marines spread out across the galaxy to
seek out the locations of the status pods. Within months they had tracked down the
planets location reported back to Terra, unfortunately the locations had also been
discovered by Xenos and Chaos forces.
Squads from all races and factions raced into the region to find the missing status
pods.
The hunt had now become a race.
