Course Overview:
This End User Fall Protection Program (#6116) is developed by Fall Protection Group
Inc., a leader in North American Fall Safety.
Fall Protection Group Inc. is an OSSA Accredited Fall Protection Training Provider and
provides end users with OSSA Accredited certification.

FALL PROTECTION GROUP
Course Description:
The Industrial/Commercial End-User Fall Protection Program (#6117) has been created
by Fall Protection Group Inc., a leader in North American fall protection training. The
program is designed to address the fall safety needs for any industrial and commercial
worker working at any height, but who are not engaged in the Oil Sands sites. The
program was developed in accordance with the Alberta Construction Safety Association
(ACSA) and Alberta OH & S Part 9.
Learning Objectives:
The goal of this fall protection program is to ensure that recipients understand the use
of fall protection as it relates to the work you perform at height. Various fall protection
options exist; this course will identify which options best meet your needs, and give you
the tools and knowledge to work at height safely. The learning objectives of this program

This training program is designed to provide Folding Boom Truck Crane and Stiff
Boom Truck Crane operators with a solid foundation in health and safety standards,
preventative maintenance and proper procedures for safe operation. The course consists
of classroom theory with a written component and practical, hands-on experience.
Content delivery will focus on applicable designation and can be customized to help
maximize participant’s success with complying with initial crane assessments. Course
content is delivered through a PowerPoint presentation and interactive discussion, and
reinforced through workbooks and supplementary handouts.
Please Note: In BC we are able to provide training on cranes with boom lengths less
than 25 feet and capacities under 5 tonnes. In Alberta we are able to provide training on
cranes with capacities under 8 tonnes. This training seminar does not provide you with
BCACS or Fulford Harbour CraneSafe licensing.

This program can be conducted as “theory awareness” or as full training with practical

Course Overview:
This two day instructor training program is designed to provide aspiring in-house trainers
with the fundamentals to deliver an effective training program and ensure course
curriculum standards are adhered. Course content is delivered through PowerPoint,
interactive discussion and practice. Participants are provided with a safe learning
environment to practice content delivery and class management techniques to engage
end users and ensure learning objectives are being achieved. Instructor training is
reinforced through use of instructor guides and supplementary hand outs. Participants
are encouraged to purchase recommended multi-media and training supplies to guide
internal training.
Course Pre-requisite:
In-house instructors are required to successfully complete Day 1 Operator Training and
comply with program audit requirements, in which instructors will need to submit one
completed class file for in order to receive permanent certification.

IN-HOUSE INSTRUCTOR RECERTIFICATION TRAINING
Course Overview:
This one day audit is designed to review a previously trained in-house instructor to
ensure their presentation and documentation skills continue to meet an acceptable
standard for jurisdictional requirements and to provide updates on program changes.
At the time of training, participants are required to:

Provide a sample documentation of a course file completed within their certification
period
Lead a pre-shift inspection for a piece of equipment in front of a live training group
Do a mock practical assessment on a live training group of varying skill levels and
experience
An email including the required homework and a checklist of required items for the
session is emailed at the time of registration.
Course Pre-requisite:
Prior successful completion of a Leavitt Machinery In-House Instructor training program.
Location: Leavitt Machinery branch (registered into any open registration equipment
class). Private and onsite options are available however the actual audit process used
may be customized from the description listed above.

Please note that if you were originally certified as an in-house trainer for more than
one equipment type, updated copies of all prior instructor wallet card certifications will

RENTAL EQUIPMENT
Our rentals division has one of the largest and most diverse selections of
equipment available in the Pacific Northwest. We offer all late model rentals
