From the Pastor’s Desk...
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday. It is a Week full of pain and suffering, but it culminates with the ultimate
victory of Christ over sin and death.
At one time there was a theatrical presentation entitled “Final Judgment.” There was shown all of humanity on
a great plaza, at the end of the world. In the middle, there was an empty throne, on which God the Father was supposed
to sit and pass judgment. Some people humbly and patiently waited, others were filled with fear and started weeping.
Others began to revolt saying “God does not have the right to judge us, since God, having always been God, does not
know how it feels to suffer and toil while on Earth. On Earth, human laws always applied and so we should be judged
according to Earth laws.” At that moment, the trumpet sounded, and the final judgment was initiated. Everyone was
profoundly surprised, especially those that protested about God’s rights to judge when Jesus Christ wearing the crown
of thorns appeared. Jesus had been appointed to undertake the final judgment of humanity, since Jesus, who knew the
nature of life on Earth, and had been Himself judged and punished by mankind. At that moment, all of the people
became silent and realized that God had unquestionable authority to judge them.
We accompany Jesus during His suffering to accomplish the work of salvation by participating in observances
during Holy Week. All are invited to the observances on Holy Thursday at 7 PM. It is an important day since it is the
day the sacraments of the Eucharist and Holy Orders were established by Jesus. It is also the Mass which joins our
entire faith community together. Good Friday has this name since it is the day our salvation was accomplished. Through
participation in the Way of the Cross on that day at 3:00 PM and through participating in the Adoration of the Cross at
5:30 PM we show our gratitude to Christ for His gift of salvation. Liturgy on Holy Saturday will commemorate our
baptisms. All are also welcome to services on Easter Sunday, to be held according to the Sunday schedule.

Respect Life
Jesus’ Death is Our Example
“Jesus, who upon entering into the world said: "I have come, O
God, to do your will" (cf. Heb 10:9), made himself obedient to
the Father in everything and, "having loved his own who were in
the world, he loved them to the end" (Jn 13:1), giving himself
completely for them. He who had come "not to be served but to
serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mk 10:45),
attains on the Cross the heights of love: "Greater love has no man
than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (Jn 15:13).
And he died for us while we were yet sinners (cf. Rom 5:8).In
this way Jesus proclaims that life finds its center, its meaning and
its fulfillment when it is given up. At this point our meditation
becomes praise and thanksgiving, and at the same time urges us
to imitate Christ and follow in his footsteps (cf. 1 Pt 2:21). We
too are called to give our lives for our brothers and sisters,
and thus to realize in the fullness of truth the meaning and
destiny of our existence.” -- John Paul II (The Gospel of
Life, n. 51)

Niektórzy pokornie i w zadumie, inni z lękiem
To on został powołany
o godzinie 7 pm.
Wielki Piątek jest w języku angielskim nazywany Good Friday (Dobry Piątek),
Liturgia
Wielkiej Soboty o 7:30 pm będzie naszym dziękczynieniem za dar Chrztu Świętego.
Zapraszamy Was na Rezurekcję w Niedzielę Wielkanocną o 5:30 am, abyśmy wraz
z Marią Magdaleną mogli spotkać Chrystusa Zmartwychwstałego i ruszyć za Nim
uroczystą procesją, która prowadzi do Nowego Życia.
