2010 Maple Syrup Festival: Another Great Year!
Attendance is down slightly from 2009 but not by much if we
gauge the amount of popcorn handed out (11,500-the same
as last year). The new “Food Booth” arrangement was
awesome! We had 113 craft/vendor booths, 82 cars at our
1st Annual Car show and 63 units in the parade!

Ribbon Cutting held at new WaNee Medical Walk-In Clinic
The Wakarusa Medical Clinic is continuing its alliance with the Elkhart General Health Care
System by launching the WaNee Medical Walk-In Clinic, 1028 E. Waterford St. It opens
for business Monday, May 1st. The hours for the clinic will include weekdays from 8 a.m. until
5 p.m., and additional morning hours on Saturdays for walk-in patients.
The WaNee Medical Walk-In Clinic will offer access to a wide range of services and treatments
for patients of all ages. There will also be a pharmacy that will enable clients to receive their
prescriptions directly on site. "We'll be offering X-ray services, laboratory work, basically anything within a normal family practice," says Abel. He adds with a chuckle, "We won't be delivering babies anymore, but we'll provide just about everything else."
