WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION

The West Harrison Water Supply Corporation is a member-owned, non-profit
corporation incorporated pursuant to the Water Supply/Sewer Service Corporations Act, Article 143a Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat (West 1980, Vernon Supp.
1993 as amended) for the purpose of furnishing a potable water utility
service. Fire hydrants installed within the Corporation’s water distribution
system are provided at the convenience of the Corporation and do not imply
any responsibility on the part of the Corporation to meet fire flow requirements of local, county, state, or federal government agencies. Fire hydrants
paid for by individuals and donated to the Corporation for county volunteer
fire department use shall remain in place for such used as ‘refill only’ of
fire trucks.
Representation by homeowners, insurance companies, real estate agencies, or any other individuals that West Harrison Water Supply Corporation
maintains fire flow capabilities to suppress fire at any level is misleading
and inaccurate.
Some service installation, re-serviced accounts, transferred accounts and
other required services may have been retrofitted with a dual check valve to
insure that contaminants from the customer’s side cannot back flow into the
system. The installation of a dual check valve creates a closed system. All
hot water heaters must have a working pressure relief valve (pop off valve)
or a thermal expansion tank to guard against damage from high pressure
created by thermal expansion. WHWSC recommends that you contact a
plumbing professional if you do not know the maintenance requirements of
your hot water tank.

Pursuant to Chapter 13.2502 of the Texas Water Code, West Harrison Water
Supply Corporation hereby gives notice that any person who subdivides land
by dividing any lot, tract, or parcel of land within the service area of West Harrison Water Supply Corporation, Certificate of Convenience and Necessity No.
12728 in Harrison County, into two or more lots or sites for the purpose of sale
or development, whether immediate or future, including re-subdivision of land
for which a plat has been filed and recorded or requests more than two water
connections on a single contiguous tract of land must comply with Section
F - Developer, Subdivision & Non-Standard Service Agreement requirements
(the “Subdivision Policy”) contained in West Harrison Water Supply Corporation’s tariff.
West Harrison Water Supply Corporation is not required to extend retail water service to a service applicant in a subdivision where the developer of the
subdivision has failed to comply with the Subdivision Policy.
Applicable elements of the Subdivision Policy include:
•Evaluation by West Harrison Water Supply Corporation of the impact a
proposed subdivision service extension will make on West Harrison Water
Supply Corporation’s water supply system and payment of the costs for the
costs of this evaluation;
•Payment of reasonable costs or fees by the developer for providing water
supply service capacity;
•Payment of fees for reserving water supply capacity;
•Forfeiture of reserved water supply service capacity for failure to pay applicable fees;
•Payment of costs of any improvements to West Harrison Water Supply Corporation’s system that are necessary to provide water service;
•Construction according to design approved by West Harrison Water Supply
Corporation and dedication by the developer of water facilities within the
subdivision following inspection.
