betree het was ons as aandeelhouers
van Wildswinkel en as wildboere deel
van beide die wildteel- en jagbedrywe. Ons
verstaan die noue verwantskap en simbiotiese
verhouding tussen die twee.
Wildswinkel se visie is gebou op die basis dat
die jag- en teelbedrywe onlosmaakbaar deel
van mekaar is.
Soos Louis van der Watt, een van ons
direkteure dit stel: “Wild in Suid-Afrika word
bewaar, om die waarheid te sê méér
bewaar, omdat dit ’n waarde het. Wild het
’n waarde aangesien beide plaaslike en
oorsese jagters bereid is om geld te betaal
om te kan jag en ook omdat verskeie wilden wildplaaseienaars bereid is om geld te
investeer om óf die plesier van wildbesigtiging
en –bestuur te hê, óf om kommersieel
wildeienaarskap vir toerisme aan te wend.”
Wildswinkel is toegewy tot die groei en
volhoubaarheid van die wildbedryf in geheel
en die nalatenskap daarvan in Suid-Afrika.
Dit is een van die grootste redes waarom
Wildswinkel in die eerste plek tot stand gekom
het. Omdat ons verstaan dat die groei en
volhoubaarheid van wild teel en jag so nou
verweef is, het die idee om ’n jagpakketveiling
te hou 100% ingeval by ons visie.
Toe ons besluit om tot die wildveilingsbedryf
toe te tree was dit ’n logiese volgende stap
om die platvorm te gebruik om ’n positiewe
bydrae te maak tot ’n bedryf waarvoor ons
almal passie het, wat ons geniet en wat ons
graag wil bewaar.
Elke lot op vandag se veiling sal óf ’n
biltongjagpakket of ’n trofeejagpakket wees.
Jagte sal slegs geskied in uitgesoekte areas
wat groot genoeg is om ’n volwaardige
jagervaring te kan hê.
’n Gedeelte van hierdie eerste
jagpakketveiling sal ten bate wees van die
Professional Hunting Assocation of South Africa
(PHASA), asook die Wildlife Ranching South
Africa (WRSA) organisasie.

Dronfield is about 10km north of Kimberley on the
N12. The reserve has been owned by De Beers since
1888. The extent of the property is 11 000 hectares
and has a rich history, specifically pertaining to
the Siege of Kimberley during the South African
War. The habitat consists of typical Kimberley
thornveld hosting large numbers of plains game.
Accommodation facilities consist of five chalets

RULES OF AUCTION:
HUNTING PACKAGE AUCTION 24 NOVEMBER 2015
These rules are applicable to the hunting package auction
being conducted by Wildswinkel Veilings (Pty) Ltd –
Registration Number: 2015/316030/07 (herein after referred to
as the “Auctioneer”) on 24 November 2015.
7.
The Buyer shall not be entitled to exercise any rights in
respect of any purchased goods unless the total amount
reflected on the Auctioneer’s invoice in respect of such
goods has been paid in full.
1. By entering a bid any prospective Buyer binds himself or
herself to these Rules of Auction.
8.
The parties specifically agree that no bid may be
retracted after the bid has been knocked down (fall of
the hammer) and accepted by the Owner / Seller, unless
the Owner / Seller consents thereto in writing.
9.
The auction shall take place under the direct and
exclusive control of the Auctioneer. The Auctioneer
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse the bid of
any person, to regulate the bidding and to indicate the
highest bidder.
2. No goods sold by auction will be subject to a reserve price.
3. The purchase price is payable by the Buyer to the
Auctioneer by electronic transfer (“EFT”) as follows:
a. For trophy hunting packages:
i. 10% on the date of sale
ii. 40% by no later than 31 March 2016
iii. the remaining 50% by no later than 5 days prior to
the hunt
b. For biltong hunting packages:
i. 50% on the date of sale
ii. the remaining 50% by no later than 5 days prior to
the hunt
c. The payment will only be regarded as done as soon as
the funds transferred reflect and are available in the
Auctioneer’s bank account.
4. The purchase price of the goods sold by auction
specifically excludes VAT and VAT must be added to the
purchase price and paid by the Buyer.
5. Hunting packages will be redeemed in the 2016 hunting
season
6. These Rules Of Auction comply with the relevant
paragraphs of Section 45 of the Consumer Protection Act,
Act 68 of 2008 (“the Act”) . The relevant sections of the Act
and the Regulations of the Act read as follows:
“Auctions:
45(2)
(3)
When goods are put up for sale by auction in lots,
each lot is, unless there is evidence to the contrary,
regarded to be the subject of a separate transaction.
A sale by auction is complete when the Auctioneer
announces its completion by the fall of the hammer,
or in any other customary manner, and until that
announcement is made, a bid may be retracted.”
10. Any error by the Auctioneer shall be entitled to be
corrected by him or her immediately upon discovery.
11. The Buyer indemnifies the Auctioneer against any claim(s)
regarding the information furnished by the Owner / Seller
which might be incorrect. In the event of any dispute the
Buyer shall only have a claim against the Owner / Seller
and not against the Auctioneer.
12. Anyone that intends to bid at the auction (Buyer) must
register his or her identity on the bidder’s record prior to
the commencement of the auction.
13. Any person who purchases on behalf of a Principal (i.e.
natural person) must furnish the Auctioneer with a written
signed Power of Attorney, prior to the commencement
of the auction, failing which he/she will be personally
liable for payment of any purchases made by him/her.
The person bidding on behalf of or signing any document
on behalf of the purchaser pursuant to a successful bid
hereby binds himself/herself personally as co-principal
debtor with the Buyer for payment of the purchase price
and personally guarantees all the obligations of the Buyer
under this Rules of Auction.
14. A person who attends the auction, to bid and to sign
the bidder’s record, on behalf of another person (i.e.
on behalf of a company or legal entity) must produce
a signed letter of authority that expressly authorizes
him or her to bid or sign the bidder’s record on behalf
of that person. Where a person is bidding on behalf of
another entity the letter of authority must appear on the
letterhead of the entity and must be accompanied by
a certified copy of the resolution, if required, authorizing
him or her to bid on behalf of the entity. The person
bidding on behalf of or signing any document on behalf
of the Buyer pursuant to a successful bid thereby binds
himself personally as co-principal debtor with the Buyer
for payment of the purchase price and personally
guarantees all the obligations of the Buyer under these
Rules of Auction.
15. In the event where a Buyer allows another person to
purchase on his or her buyer’s number, the registered
Buyer shall be liable for payment of such purchases. No
bid by an unregistered Buyer will be accepted by the
Auctioneer and the Buyer will have no claim to any of
the goods allegedly purchased by him.
16. The Owner / Seller, Buyer and Auctioneer herewith
confirm that any action instituted by the Auctioneer
against the Owner / Seller and / or Buyer may be
instituted in any competent Court. This agreement will be
governed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of
South Africa.
17. The entries made in the Company’s auction roll shall be
prima facie evidence of the transaction and shall be
binding on the Owner / Seller and the Buyer.
18. The bidder’s record and the vendor or vendu roll will be
made available for inspection within reasonable time
after the auction at the office of the Auctioneer during
normal business hours free of charge.
19. The Auctioneer accepts no liability for any withdrawal of
goods from sale.
20. Default by Buyer: Should the Buyer fail to pay the
purchase price within 7 days of the due date, the
Auctioneer shall be entitled to resell the goods at the
risk of the defaulting Buyer/Purchaser who shall be liable
for all costs in connection with the resale and any loss or
damage incurred, and will not be entitled to any profit
that may arise from the resale.
21. The Auctioneer reserves the right to amend these Rules of
Auction in writing.
