COVENTRY
MOTOFEST
2015
MotoFest returns to Coventry for its second year in 2015 to
transform the city’s centre and renowned ring road into a fun-fuelled
stage to show off an array of spectacular vehicles from the past,
present and future. Taking advantage of Coventry’s unique heritage
as the spiritual home of the British motor industry, the free motoring
extravaganza – which last year saw 70,000 fans enjoy over 400 cars
– will once again celebrate the city’s automotive and engineering
pedigree with an exciting display of current and historic cars.
The ring road will again become a dedicated course to showcase
these memorable motors – including race and rally machines – in
motion as part of the event’s climactic pace car-led cavalcade. Read
on to find out more about MotoFest’s thrilling schedule of events
and activities.

Degree Show 2015
Graham Sutherland Building, Coventry University,
Jordan Well, Coventry, CV1 5PH
Saturday 30th May – Thursday 4th June 2015
The Coventry School of Art & Design Degree Show is an annual
event to celebrate and showcase our graduating students’ work as
they aspire to make their mark in the creative world.
The show highlights final year student work from a wide range
of courses across the visual arts, design and media including our
world-renowned Automotive and Transport Design degree.
The extensive exhibition signals the future contribution our students
are destined to make - from helping to sustain the rich and diverse
artistic reputation of the UK to designing for urgent need in areas
such as health, disability and environmental sustainability.
Come and see for yourself what our students have produced at any
time between 10am and 5pm.

2014 with a brief to the youngsters
taking part to design a ‘Pace Car’ to
lead the race cars around Coventry
Motofest 2015’s unique ring road track.
Invitations were sent out to 120 schools
for up to 20,000 children to take part.
The winning design was created by
seven year old Esha Randhawa from
Stivichall Primary School in Coventry and
includes solar panels, voice control and
sliding doors.
Esha’s two dimensional drawings have
been turned into full 3D models by
Young Innovators is supported by:
design students at Coventry University using its advanced design and creation
systems. Esha and her fellow pupils

see their designs come to life.
Her winning design has been turned into
a real working vehicle by Jaguar Land

new Coventry-based Technical Centre
and will lead all the racing on Coventry’s
Ring Road circuit during the 2015 event.
Fuzz Townsend, presenter of Channel 4’s
