STAGE VOICE
PO Box 531, 824 Main Street, Duncan, OK 73533 ph. 580-252-8331
After a 19 year hiatus, DLT will again be putting on the world famous musical "The Sound of Music" which tells
the story of the Von Trapp Family Singers who abandoned their lovely Austrian home to walk across the Alps
to freedom when Nazi Germany invaded Austria. Danielle Flesher will be directing with her mother Gina
acting as producer and costumer. Please plan on attending this production during the final two weekends in
February. Support the volunteer actors and stage crew by blessing them with sold out audience as it takes
hours of practice and preparation to stage such a production.

DLT 's producing "THE
SOUND of MUSIC"
Danielle Flesher grew up in Duncan and was active in Duncan Little Theatre and the
vocal music and drama departments at Duncan Public Schools. She went on to study
Music Theatre at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, where she
graduated in 2009. Danielle was lucky enough to land the lead role of Elle Woods in
the Oklahoma premiere of “Legally Blonde, the Musical” at the Pollard Theatre in
2012. Not long after closing that show, Danielle got the amazing news that she had
been hired as a Featured Vocalist for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and has been
traveling the world for the past 2 years entertaining international audiences around the
globe! She has gotten to travel to such places as Australia, New Zealand, Bali, Bora
Bora, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and many, many more! Danielle is back in
Oklahoma for a 6 month break between contracts to direct “The Sound of Music” at
Duncan Little Theatre, in tribute to the late Jimmy Zinn, whom
Danielle was lucky enough to study vocal music underneath before
he passed away her senior year of high school. Danielle will be
joining Royal Caribbean again for her 3rd contract starting in April
2015, this time traveling to the warm and sunny Caribbean.

and others. President Debbie Sutton accepted the award from Governor Mary
Fallin.

Producer’s Report for "Christmas Belles”
The show was enjoyed by those who saw it. The cast was so funny and the costumes were appropriately over the top!
Michael Harris and Caitlyn Harris are practically a producing team together. They took charge of all the technical
aspects and put together a great production. Costs were kept in check, and DLT should do well financially from this
show. The cast of experienced actors was extremely talented and it showed in the performance. A few newcomers
rounded out the cast and they did not disappoint. Although the audiences were not as large as expected, those who
came appreciated a Christmas show during this time of the year. Publicity from the
Lawton newspaper brought in some folks
from Altus and Rush Springs. All enjoyed the
Christmas trees/wreaths in the lobby which
added to the festive atmosphere. It was a
great beginning to the Christmas season.
Sharon Burum, Producer
Duncan Little Theatre has a new logo compliments of our wonderful volunteer
graphic artist, Michel Harris, who donates hours of his time directing, acting,
set designing and doing our award winning poster and program art.

DLT is doing a t-shirt

Jimmy Zinn so if you wish to
Little Theatre sadly reports the deaths of John and "Tinker" Hruby
and their daughter, Katherine, who were killed in a senseless act of
violence. All three of them were enthusiastic supporters of DLT and will be
sorely missed. They made the theatre community part of their family and
gave generously of their time and talents. Our condolences to their family.
If you would like to contribute to the DLT memorial fund in their honor,
please contact Floyd Wininger or any other DLT board member.
contribute, we will be taking
sponsors as late as Feb 1st for
inclusion on the t-shirt.
Nell and Alvin Zinn have made a memorial donation in the
name of their son, Jimmy. DLT thanks them for their support.
DLT could not offer 5 plays per season without the help of our grantors
and sponsors such as The Oklahoma Arts Council, the Inasmuch Foundation, the Kerr Foundation, and the
Simmons Center Community Spirit Awards.
