The mission of the City of Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce
is to encourage an economic environment conducive to the
continuing development of new and existing business.
Descendants of some of
the oldest families in the City
gathered for the unveiling of a new
historical marker highlighting the
City’s rich history.
The marker, located at Old
Towne Ridgeland Plaza on the
corner of West Jackson Street and
Northeast Madison Drive, tells
of the City’s beginnings in 1832
when William Austin purchased
land near the Natchez Trace.
The land was later sold twice
before the Highland Colony
Company purchased it in 1896,
and the name was changed to
Ridgeland.
Business After Hours
TownePlace Suites, located at 310 Southlake Avenue in The
Township and MS Tobacco-Free Coalition rolled out the red carpet for
the Chamber’s June Business After Hours. Guests enjoyed delicious
refreshments, door prizes and an opportunity to renew old friendships and
make new ones. A special thank you to Alan Cole, Sales Manager and the
staff of TownePlace Suites and Rochelle Culp, Executive Director, MS
Tobacco-Free Coalition of Madison, Yazoo and Holmes Counties for a
very special Business After Hours.
Alan Cole, Sales
Manager, TownePlace
Suites, gives Daniel
Barham, Community
Trust Bank, a door prize
for a two-night stay at
TownePlace Suites.
Ridgeland Chamber
Diplomats Matthew Reece,
Business Communications,
and Price Rosson, Madison
County Magazine,
welcome Chamber
members and guests.
Rochelle Culp, MS TobaccoFree Coalition, right,
presents Lenita Knight,
Madison County Economic
Development Authority, a
plaque in appreciation for her
service to Madison County.
