Our background
Dolano Food was founded in 1991 by the visionary businessman Kostas
Nikolopoulos. Since that time the company has advanced dynamically to the
top of the frozen foods sector, winning the trust and preference of its customers, both for its unrivalled quality and the delicious taste of its products.
In 1994 the company expanded its product range with the creation of a pizza
crust and the ability to produce approximately 100,000 units per shift, thus
establishing its position in the market for the next three years.
This was followed from 1997 until 2001 by a number of important business
activities, resulting in the construction of new facilities covering approximately 1000 square metres in Kamatero, with the installation of state-of-theart machinery in the unit for even greater quality production, and the formation of a private transport fleet for the safe distribution of the products.
In 2002 the company expanded its crepe category with the addition of new
popular recipes such as the bacon, cheese and mushroom crepe, chicken
crepe, bitter chocolate crepe, and more.

In 2004 the company invested in
the modernisation of its crepe
machinery, whilst in 2009, observing the market’s positive
response to its products, it implemented a mechanical crepe
production plan that was innovative for Greece and which has
enabled the company to produce
over 17,000 units a shift, making it the sector’s largest crepeproduction company. During this
period, Dolano Food also proceeded with the reorganisation
of all its critical divisions – sales,
marketing, production, logistics
and quality assurance – thus creating the infrastructure for even
greater growth in the Greek market and in markets abroad.
Dolano Food is today one of the
most dynamically expanding frozen food production and sales
companies in Greece and the Balkans, specialising in crepes, pizza
crusts and other pastry products,

Quality Assurance
Dolano Food is certified with standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000. It follows the regulations and controls of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical
Control Points) system, which it implements throughout all stages of the production process, from receiving the raw and secondary materials, storage, processing, packaging under controlled temperature and humidity conditions and the distribution of the products.

Nutritional value of the products
Dolano Food provides information for its products on calorie content and other basic nutritional ingredients, which cover the daily requirements for
a healthy organism. In this way you can calculate your daily intake so as to enjoy a balanced diet.
In order to calculate the Recommended Daily Intake, Dolano Food has followed the Reference Values for Nutrient Intakes published by the European
Commission, and we also collaborate with specialist food technicians and the Department of Food Technology of the Technological Educational
Institute of Athens.

Crepes
Crepes with the “Deli Crepes” logo are handmade by Dolano Food so
as to ensure the product’s deliciousness, wholesomeness and delicate
taste.
The recipes are the result of a collaboration between Dolano Food
and professional chefs, as well as numerous trials and tastings so as to
ensure that the final product satisfies consumers’ gourmet demands,
offering pleasure and total satisfaction.
The ingredients are select, wholesome and fresh, strictly selected for
their quality during delivery.
“Deli Crepes” are available as plain crepes or with a variety of tasty
fillings.

Donuts
Piroshki
The soft donuts with the “Ducky Donuts” logo preserve their freshness,
as though they have just been baked. After a series of trials, Dolano
Food achieved an important innovation in donut production, ensuring
the product’s minimum grease absorption during the production stage
and that they don’t become soggy when defrosting.
Dolano Food was the first company to produce and launch a unique
product on the Greek market: the piroshki.
An accompaniment to your morning coffee, a snack for small children
as well as a treat at any moment of the day, “Ducky Donuts” can satisfy
the taste buds of the most demanding consumer.
The piroshki originated in Russia and is a daily food staple amongst that
country’s consumers.
Several years ago the piroshki made its appearance in central Europe,
but was not able to gain a foothold there because of the excessive
amount of grease used to hold the product together during its production, a practice that is not in keeping with modern nutritional behaviours, which are oriented towards lighter choices.
Dolano Food used its food expertise and, after conducting research, was
successfully able to adapt the piroshki to modern nutritional needs, creating a product containing little grease and with an amazing taste.
