Pontiac Oakland Club International.
The Tomahawk Chapter was founded
in 1977. The chapter is dedicated to
the preservation and enjoyment of
Pontiac, Oakland and GMC vehicles
of all years and models, stock and
modified.
Club events are organized for the enjoyment of our members.
All letters to the editor should be signed.

represent the opinions and viewpoints

President’s Message
At February’s meeting we got off to a good start on the
upcoming season with great attendance, which included
four of our newest members—it was fantastic to see you
and get your input, thank you! As we went around the
room to re-introduce everyone and hear about their Pontiacs it was interesting to hear how many projects are in
the works. Our members are looking forward to enjoying the improvements to their cars during warmer weather, and I can’t wait to see
them all on the road!
With that being said, it was mentioned that in the Spring/Summer we will be planning a Club Cruise to a junkyard in Wisconsin, which also boasts a boutique for
the ladies (my wife is already saving pennies to try to outdo my junkyard finds!)
Purchases or no, this promises to be a fun outing, with a stop for lunch along the
way. We will keep you posted so you can mark your calendars once a date is
picked.
A couple of quick reminders: March’s meeting will be at Carbone’s in Lakeville
for our annual Pizza Party (so those of you with lift tickets might want to plan a
ski trip for that day, due to the assurance it will snow!), and it’s time to get ready
for our annual kick-off Car Show which is coming up already next month (Saturday, April 30th from 9-2.) Bring your cars, bring your swap items, or those of
you who are handy bring your crafts! We are hoping for a beautiful sunny day to
enjoy this family friendly way to spend an afternoon whetting our whistles for the
much anticipated summer season!

February Meeting Minutes
2/16/16
We
met at the Rosetown American
Legion with 18 members present. Minutes from the last meeting and the treasurer’s report were read and approved.
We had several new members so we
went around the room and did introductions and talked about our cars.
New Business- We decided to have
our winter banquet at Gulden’s again
next year. Todd Lewis will be ordering some more chapter t-shirts. Terry
Ford talked about a possible cruise to
northern Wisconsin.
Our annual pizza party is coming up on
March 15th at Carbone’s in Lakeville.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55.

Back at the “Pontiac Ranch”
The weather is getting better and
Spring is coming soon! I am working
on the ‘84 Fiero, trying to get the enging head replaced. I found out (the hard
way) that an ‘85 Fiero 4-cylinder head
will not work on an ‘84, so we continue
to search for a replacement. Anyone
know of an ‘84 donor car out there
somewhere?
My favorite meeting of the year is also
coming up this month| Please join us at
Carbone’s in Lakeville on March 15th
for the annual pizza party. Bring your
appetite and let’s hope that we don’t
have to deal with a snow storm, like we
have so manytimes in the past!
