Bicycle Rides Northwest Choose Asotin
Bicycle Rides Northwest „s
Oregon Bicycle Ride
chose Asotin for their
stop on August 7th. The
organization came in early
that day with their
showers and food truck
and as the riders came in
they pitched their tents on
the football field. Well,
that was the plan,!
However, the weather was
so hot, they spread out
anywhere they could find
shade. Many of the riders
could be seen at the beach
cooling off. The next
morning before the riders left,
the Asotin Lions Club
provided breakfast in the City
Park and the bikers raved
about the food and the
community‟s hospitality.

2ND ANNUAL ASOTIN QUILT SHOW ENJOYED!!
The 2nd Annual Asotin
Quilt Show, held in
Asotin City Park in the
afternoon of Sunday, July
14th, was well attended
and very much enjoyed!
Twice as many people came
to the show as came last
year, and they stayed to
visit with friends and
neighbors while enjoying
lemonade, sugar cookies
and old-fashioned ice
cream cups. The soft
breeze showed the hanging
quilts off beautifully
and made the warm day
a perfect
temperature.
Attendees voted "A
Few of my Favorite
Things", a bookshelf
quilt designed and
created by Kerry
Hamilton of Asotin
for her
husband, Larry, as
"The People's
Favorite". Photos of
the winning quilt and
of Kerry and Larry
are shown.
