Since November 1, 2012, the new
EU-wide tire labelling requirement has
applied to all automobile tires produced
after June 30, 2012. Retailers are now
obligated to attach a label directly onto
the tire, which uniformly presents the
following information on three product
features:
• Fuel efficiency in 6 categories
• Wet grip in 5 categories
• External rolling noise in decibels (dB).
The respective values for the tires can be found at the end of this
brochure – clearly presented – in a table.
The results of independent tire tests, however, are still far more
helpful for making a decision on which tires to buy. Since here
the performance of a tire is meticulously tested in four categories
and assessed in comparison to the other test products. The overall
assessment summarizes the individual results. That is why you can
find the most recent test results for all the tires in this brochure if
they were available.
