Immediately after her news-breaking rescue, her butler, Theodore Winsington, III, contacted Blissity Lovewell and requested that she host a smashing shindig in honor of her safe return at Nutmeg’s fabulous Hollywood mansion. Once the guests arrived, they got the party switched on with some smashing party games and groovy cocktails and of course, juicy gossip. After dining on a delicious meal, the guests mingled and engaged in more fun party games. With all the peace and love in the air, nobody would have expected what happened next…murder! The guests rallied together to figure out what had happened before the murderer could escape. After a thorough investigation, the guests submitted their guess for whodunit. Then, they discussed their involvement with the murder and the killer finally confessed! Other than the horrible homicide, the party was a gas, baby, yeah! While she was stranded on a deserted tropical island for years with six strangers, Theodore lived like the rich and famous and spent a chunk of Nutmeg’s fortune. However, he is a master manipulator and knows how to stay on top of sticky situations. Butler uniform. Optional: carry around a silver tray with appetizers and serve them to the guests during the first round of the party. Nutmeg Vant is an ultra-famous Hollywood film star. Write ‘disregard this task’ on any contact info blank that refers to an optional player not being played in your game. Note: even though email wasn’t available in the ‘60s – if you decide to use email as a form of contact, just tell your guests to ignore the fact they’re using modern technology. Using phones as a contact would be preferred to stay in the story line, however. CHARACTER NAME WAS REMOVED FOR THE SAMPLE GAME pregame OPTIONAL - for some pre-party fun, you can contact (email, phone, etc.) the following guests in the week leading up to the party: Contact the guest playing Theodore Winsington, III, and tell him that you only agreed to be the hostess because Nutmeg is your friend and you don’t trust Theodore around her. You’re watching him…through your rifle scope. (Contact info:____________________________________) Contact the guest playing Miloslava Vladmira and tell her that you heard that Boston Flowers had a crush on her. He is not the chivalrous type and he didn’t protect you from a flying shoe and that is why you broke up with him. (Contact info:_____________________________________) Please note: either contacting the guests above or deciding to skip these tasks will not alter the mystery or anyone's ability to solve the mystery in anyway. However, contacting other guests will lead to excitement about the party and will encourage other guests to read about the other characters and be prepared for some ‘flower power’ 1960s fun! EACH PLAYER WILL HAVE AN OPTIONAL CARD IN THE PURCHASED GAME Round one clue cards Print, cut out, and slip into labeled envelopes including character name and round. CHARACTER NAME WAS REMOVED - ROUND ONE USE THE FOLLOWING ‘60s TRIVIA QUESTIONS AS AN ICE BREAKER Question: In what television sitcom did a talking horse speak to only his owner, Wilbur Post? Answer: REMOVED Question: What American baseball player broke Babe Ruth's single-season home run record in 1961? Answer: REMOVED CLUES TO REVEAL DURING THIS ROUND During this round, mingle with the other guests and discuss the following with whomever you choose: • Deny plans of quitting the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). • Tell Blissity Lovewell you are sorry that you didn’t catch that shoe that Silverballs, the notorious international villain you two were chasing, threw at her face. You were just shocked because… ‘Who throws a shoe?’ He simply caught you off guard, baby, yeah. • Excessively flirt with all women at the party (if you feel comfortable doing so). You believe you have ‘charismatic mojo’ that is irresistible to women. If you brought a camera as a prop with you to the party, take pictures of the girls and say the following as you do it, “C’mon baby, work with me, show me love, yeah, baby!” CLUES TO CONCEAL DURING THIS ROUND • Tickey Tantle is the ex-boyfriend of the woman you have a major crush on, the Russian rocket scientist turned Hollywood wannabe - Miloslava Vladmira. You found out through your secret CIA connections that Theodore Winsington, III was supplying Tickey Tantle with steroids. Theodore formulates them in his quarters at Nutmeg Vant’s mansion. You are aware Theodore used to be a biochemist before he became Nutmeg’s butler. You decided to blackmail Tickey Tantle for a little extra money and because you think he is a big square for how he treated Miloslava Vladmira when they ended their relationship. EACH PLAYER WILL HAVE A ROUND ONE CARD IN THE PURCHASED GAME Round TWO clue cards Print, cut out, and slip into labeled envelopes including character name and round. ROUND TWO PRE-MURDER CLUES: Tell Boston you will set him up with Miloslava, but that Silverballs, the international villain that he has been chasing for years, is actually Miloslava’s cousin. That might be a problem. You didn’t want to say anything earlier because you thought it was hilarious. Tell Billigan that ‘he is dead to you’ since he chose to not be friends with you anymore because of his instant fame. He will regret losing his most loyal friend. POST-MURDER CLUES: Could one person have done all of that to the victim or was it two killers? If it was two, did they work together or separately? Figure out the cause of death first. You are not certain that “Character’s name removed” was in the room when the victim died. S/he is the one who discovered the body. Could that be an obvious cover? Did s/he have a motive? CLUE TO CONCEAL: You did have a motive to kill the victim. You are not in the clear. EACH PLAYER WILL HAVE A MYSTERY INVESTIGATION SHEET IN THE PURCHASED GAME Round two victim sign INCLUDED IN THE PURCHASED GAME. Round two forensic report INCLUDED IN THE PURCHASED GAME. MURDER MYSTERY INVESTIGATION SHEET DETECTIVE NAME ________________________________ SUSPECT MOTIVE COMMENTS EACH PLAYER WILL HAVE A MYSTERY INVESTIGATION SHEET IN THE PURCHASED GAME WHODUNIT______ ____________________________________________________ MOTIVE___ ___ _HOW DID THEY DO IT Solution round three cards Print, cut out, and present in round two per the host instructions. READ WHEN YOU ARE TOLD IT IS YOUR TURN. Before you read your final solution, read the following '60s music lyrics to the other guests and ask them to give you the band and name of the song: You know you’re a cute little heartbreaker. Foxy. You know you’re a sweet little love maker. Foxy. I wanna take you home. I won’t do you no harm, no. You’ve got to be all mine, all mine. Ooh, __________ (song title). Answer: The artist is Jimi Hendrix and the song is ‘Foxy Lady.’' Say the following to the group: "I was just here to party and have a good time, that’s all. I didn’t mean to get mixed up in the middle of a crazy murder, but I’ve got a funny joke for you to lighten up the mood and make it more groovidelic in here: Why couldn't the lifeguard save the drowning hippie in the ocean? He was too far out, baby, yeah! Nope, I’m not the murderer, but I guess I am not a comedian either”. THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS ARE TO READ THEIR CLUES IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER.
