The next LINK meeting will be held on

I will not be able to attend this meeting
and am looking for a volunteer to take the
meeting minutes. If you would like to step
in for Secretary Suzie, please let me know.
DEADLINE OFFER for those who missed the meetinq
As you know we are making "scarecrows" in the likeness of
our fellow LINKSTERS. We had 13 names in the hat at our
last meeting. All in attendance drew names and now will create our
display at the gate on October 10.

NO LATER THAN FRIDAY. AUGUST 28.
This will be a fund raising event. Timberidgians will have the
opportunity to vote on who they think each scarecrow is meant to be.
We will charge $1 per vote. The one guessing the most right,
will win a price that Lisa, our resident artist, will be furnishing.
LOW COUNTRY BOIL:
This year's Low Country Boil is scheduled for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3
at the home of Freda and Ron Bair. Karen Long will be distributing
invitations via mailboxes by September 18. We will need RSVPs
by September 26 in order to plan for food.
The cost will be $5 per person to cover the main meal.
The following people have volunteered to bring side dishes:
Freda, Agnes, Suzie - Desserts
Jeanie, Stacy = Bread
Ellen, Peggy, Karen - Appetizers
MEALS FOR MY SISTER'S PLACE:
The director of this charitable organization has asked for
meals to be delivered for their evening dinner.
We have arranged for one dinner already. We are just
waiting for a date. Mary Lee is checking on this.
Entree - Lisa
Vegetable - Jewell
Salad - Mary Lee
Agnes - Rolls
Dessert - Suzie
If you would like to donate a meal or a part of one,
please contact Mary Lee.
CHRISTMAS CHARITIES:
We continue to give thought to which organization we
will choose for our Christmas contribution. Among those
in the running are: The Guest House (for the elderly),
Efasis for unwed mothers, and another for battered women.
The decision will be made in the next coulple of months.

following months: October, December, April.
The date for judging Christmas decorations has been set for
December 20.
