NEW COMPOSITE DECKING - UPM PROFI VERANDA
A luxurious wood look and feel and with
superior stain resistance characterizes
a new composite decking called UPM
ProFi Veranda. It is a premium solid
deck, environmentally friendly and has
a unique surface for low maintenance
and weather durability.
Superior stain resistance
UPM ProFi Veranda is designed in Finland and manufactured in Germany.
Patented composite technology ensures superior stain resistance compared to
traditional brushed wpc or wood decks. In UPM ProFi Veranda cellulose fibres
are protected and encapsulated in plastic. The top layer is made of new high
performance, also cellulose based, biocomposite UPM Formi.
Good colour durability and zero degree installation
Since UPM ProFi Veranda is manufactured using lignin free cellulose fibres, it
offers good colour durability. Lignin is the natural wood molecule which causes
wood and other cellulose fibres to turn grey when exposed to sunlight.
Designed in Finland, the decking tolerates cold weather as well. Due to very low
water absorbtion it is also possible to install the decking in zero degree incline.

Recycled and recyclable
UPM ProFi Veranda is manufactured mainly from recycled raw materials. The
principal raw materials are specially selected cellulose fibres and clean plastic
polymers, which are byproducts of other industrial processes and would be
otherwise disposed in landfill or incineration. The composite is non-toxic and
after a long lifecycle can be incinerated or disposed of with the household
waste or recycled.

Colour alternatives for UPM ProFi Veranda
The high performance decking UPM ProFi Veranda is available in Brazilian
Walnut colour. Silver Ash colour will complement the range later this year. The
decking board has a reversible surface: on the one side are fine grooves
and on the other side embossed stripes. Natural looking dark streaks and
veins are featured on both sides of the profile.
