Norman has been a local businessman for the past 30
years. In the last 16 years he’s been serving Lassen
County as a financial advisor. His wife, Deedee, and
Jolene Boomer are his two assistants. In 1999, he
started his financial practice and now serves a large
individual and business clientele. Norman’s financial
practice’s mission has always been to acknowledge his
client’s needs and goals, provide a comprehensive and
realistic perspective on retirement, establish client
confidence,
and
discuss
realistic
opportunities
in
investing.
The
ultimate objective is
to find the best
solution to your
challenges and to
keep you on track
until it is completed.
Norman grew up
in Stockton and graduated from San Jose State
University in Business Management. He was determined
to open a restaurant/bar and at age 24 moved to
Susanville to purse that dream. Norman has always been
interested in business opportunities and has opened an
American/Chinese restaurant and bar, 3 video stores, a
yogurt/shaved ice shop, and a marketing business.
Norman is married to Deedee and has two Susanvilleraised sons, Ryan and Zachary. When he’s not working,
Norman enjoys hiking tall peaks, fishing, watching the SF
Giants, cooking gourmet meals, and being a member of
Sunrise Rotary and Community Church.
He thanks the entire community for the blessings and
support he’s received throughout all these years in
Susanville.
Mike O’Kelly was born and raised in Susanville and has
had the great fortune of raising two marvelous daughters
(Colleen & Courtney) in our fabulous frontier town. He and
wife Paulette O’Kelly have been involved in this community
in many ways for many decades.
Mike is the President of Morning Glory, Inc. He is a third
generation milk man in Lassen County. His family originally
owned Lassen Dairy and Lassen Distributing, of which he
became a partner in 1972. In 1975, Mike and his father
bought Morning Glory Dairies from the local farmers who
owned it as a coop. Then in 1981,
Mike bought out
his father from
Morning
Glory
Dairies
and
incorporated
Morning
Glory,
Inc. In 1983,
Mike
turned
Morning
Glory,
Inc. into a broadline
wholesale
fo od
ser vice
provider.
Mike attended
Lassen Union High School, Lassen Community College,
and California State University, Chico. He has been a
resident of Susanville, California for the last 64 years. He is
a Charter member for the Susanville Sunrise Rotary Club
and a member of the Lassen County Chamber of
Commerce.
With sincere thanks for all that his community has done
for him, Mike feels fortunate to be the President of the
Lassen College Foundation because it is the most
rewarding manner in which he can give back to his
community.
