2015-16 Information
BHS Welcomes New Choir Directors
New vocal music directors Brandon Fraseur & Andrea Cooper will continue
offering high quality performance opportunities at BHS.
Greetings BHS Families:
Hello to the music family at BHS!
My name is Brandon Fraseur and I am thrilled to be joining Bettendorf
High School as the new Vocal Music Director! I am excited to begin
working with the students, families, and music team at BHS, and look
forward to meeting all of you soon!
In addition to teaching, I enjoy staying involved in the school
community, and when not teaching music, have served as a head or
assistant coach for high school JV and Varsity basketball, baseball, golf,
and volleyball teams.
My name is Andrea Cooper and I’m thrilled to be one of the newest
additions to the BHS music department. I grew up in Fulton, Illinois
and have always considered the Quad City area my home. My husband
and I are building a house in the QCA and are looking forward to
calling the area home once again. I have spent the last 8 years working
as a music teacher in many capacities including vocal music in Orion,
IL, Pleasant Valley, IA and even 6-12 band and choir at a Department
of Defense school in Kaiserslautern, Germany for the past three years. I
can truly say I have the best job in the world and I look forward to each
and every day that I can help create beautiful music with students and
colleagues. Preparations for next year in the BHS choral department are
already underway and I am looking forward to being back in the area in
a few weeks to really get things moving! I can’t wait to meet you all in
just a few short months! Have a great summer and keep your voice in
good health!
Brandon Fraseur
Andrea Cooper
I am a native of Tipton, IA, and hold a B.A. degree in Vocal
Performance and Music Education from Luther College. With over ten
years of experience teaching in Iowa and Maryland, I have worked with
students at every grade level, K-12. My most recent position was as
Director of Choral Activities and Varsity Show Choir Director at East
High School in Sioux City, IA.

easy to sign up at home. Go to http://www.volunteerbhs.org/ to sign up electronically.

BHS Orchestra Info – from Director Megan Cooney
Welcome to another exciting year for the Bettendorf High School Orchestra program. I look forward to working with parents and students throughout the coming year. As the orchestra director, I will do my best to create an atmosphere that is conducive to enjoyable m usic m aking, but it is through your actions and efforts that we become a cohesive unit that reaches its full potential. Remember, the greater your personal efforts, the more you will find yourself enjoying our orchestra. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I try to send updates regularly and information is also available on m y staff website. Enjoy the rest of your summer and I’m sure this will be the best year yet for the High School Orchestra! 2
