A standard and a design guideline for Mauritius for street and public
area lighting (external lighting of public areas).
MAIN ACTIVITIES

A design guideline shall also be prepared for retrofitting of existing
street and public area lighting systems.
The design guideline shall also cover the use of solar systems for
street/public area lighting.
(ii) Technical Support to EEMO
Develop a baseline on energy efficiency in the building sector
Develop a methodology to measure and monitor evolution of
energy efficiency with respect to this baseline

Develop minimum energy performance standards for up to 7
regulated products (refrigerators, electric oven, dish washer, airconditioner, tumble dryer, electric lamps, washing machine) based
on an analysis of affordability to the general public, cost-benefit and
savings (financial and energy) for the country.
