WCRHA Year
end show
West Coast Reining Horse Association ended out the 2015 show year
with our Year End Show, Futurity
and Derby held October 7th thru
10th at the Murieta Equestrian
Center. There was a great turn out of
exhibitors with nearly 250 stalls filled
in the barns. The weather was great
which led to a great week of competition.
Derek Brummett and Nancy Kucer tied for the
Limited Non Pro Championship. They were also
awarded “The Topsail Cody Memorial WCRHA
Limited Non Pro Perpetual Trophy” donated by
Dick Randall and awarded at the WCRHA
Year End Show each year since 2002.

President's
Letter
Wow, as 2015 quickly comes to a
close, it is hard to believe that the vast
majority of us have already completed
another show year. But of course, for
those going on to Oklahoma City for
the Futurity and the North American
Affiliate Finals, your biggest show is
just a few short days away.
I want to take this time to reflect
on what a great year 2015 has been for
WCRHA as an Affiliate of NRHA.
Our membership continues
to grow and we remain the largest NRHA affiliate. WCRHA also
encompasses one of the largest areas
of influence of any affiliate in the
United States. If you think about it,
we have members from as far north as
the Oregon border. We have membership as far south as the Bakersfield
area. We also have membership from
the coast to the Reno/Carson City/
Nevada area. This is a huge territory

that we make our best attempts to include all of WCRHA
members into our activities.
That is why I am happy that we have once more been
able to "take the show on the road" and have the 2015
Rookie day and NRHA Membership Secrets of Judging
Seminar in Fresno. Both events had great attendance and
I know our membership in the southern part of the valley
appreciated that WCRHA have two events in their neck of
the woods.
The 2015 show year was also monumental. The show
committee chaired by Kelli Brummett did an amazing job
putting together our five affiliate shows along with our Year
End Show and Futurity. While you may not think this is a
problem, our growing membership presents unique challenges to the show committee. They do their best to make
sure that the shows that have very large classes run smoothly
and do not go too late into the evening. The show committee is always looking at the schedule to see how it can be
adjusted to better serve our membership. A big thank you to
Kelli and the show committee for doing an outstanding job
in 2015.
Finally, no show can run smoothly without a small army
of VOLUNTEERS. I personally want to thank the WCRHA
NP Futurity L1, L2, and L3 Champions

Board of Directors for all their hard work throughout 2015.
I want to thank each and every person who volunteered to
help make our shows run smoothly. Unfortunately I do not

The winner will be awarded:
• A perpetual trophy with their name engraved to be
awarded at the annual WCRHA Year End Banquet.
The award will be kept for one year, to be returned at
the next year’s banquet.

• A winning profile in the WCRHA Reiner.
