SIGNED PAPERCUTS
Signed Papercuts are a Swedish band that makes noise blending indie pop and shoegazing with swirling
guitars, crashing drums and vocals breaking through, desperate to be heard. The band was formed in
Alingsås, town of potatoes and indiepop, by Daniel (vocals, guitar), Fredrik (guitar), Clara (bass), Miralda
(keyboards, vocals) and Stefan (drums). They released a demo back in 2006, and later in 2007 a 3” CDR on
Cloudberry Records that included the hit song Nothingness. This small treat has long been sold out.
After contributing a song to the compilation If you Like Everything, There’s Nothing Left to Love
released by the influential Skatterbrain blog, they put out this, their last release, the lush and energetic Of My Heart single. On the B side comes the second part of the brilliant Sound of Silence that
appeared on the 3” and it’s as brilliant or better than the first. Artwork comes from the extraordinaire
illustrator Danny Zabbal.
