Watermen’s Museum, Two if by Sea Café,
Harrison’s Chesapeake House Gift Shop and the
Black Walnut Point Inn. Also may be purchased
at Frivolous Fibers in St. Michaels. Or you may
order by calling 410-886-2930.
TILGHMAN ELEMENTARY PTO
Saturday, August 30th- 8 AM- 2nd Island Run. Proceeds
will benefit the Tilghman Elementary School PTO.
Regular registration-thru August 23rd. Individual-$15Family-$45 (includes 2 adults and up to 3 children)
Late registration August 24thto Race Day. Individual$20---Family-$60 (includes 2 adults and up to 3
children)
Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Runners 10 years and under must be accompanied by
an adult.Strollers are welcome, but for safety reasons
please keep to the back of the pack when starting the
race. Pets, skateboards, and bikes are not allowed on
the race course.
The race begins and ends at TES with a loop around
Tilghman Beach and a loop through Tilghman on
Chesapeake. There will be 2 water stops.
Awards will be presented to the male and female
runners with the fastest times in the following groups:
Overall, 12 and under, 13-19,20-39,40-59, and 60+.

Thank you to the volunteers for helping to make the Circus Summer Camp a success. 30 community members
volunteered over 532 hours during the camp week. Also, thank you to all of the folks who baked and contributed goods
for the sale. Thank you everyone!
WAL-MART is sponsoring a “Stuff the Bus” for the schools this year in which donations from anyone will be accepted
in the vehicle. August 22-24 are the days for Tilghman Elementary School.
BOX TOPS. Remember to take them to the Post Office to deposit.
TILGHMAN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (TUMC)
Sunday Worship Services: 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Sunday school 9:45-10:45am.
Friday, 9/19 and Saturday, 9/20- The 3rd Annual Bay Hundred Women’s retreat will be held at Solitude Farm in St.
Michaels. Tickets are $35 per person and must be purchased by August 31st. Please see Jen Miller for tickets.
Helping Hands/Food Pantry . Your food donations are appreciated. Drop items off on Sunday or during pantry hours.
Checks to support the food bank made out to Helping Hands may be mailed to PO Box 192, Tilghman, Md 21671.
This money and contributions from Empty Bowls is used to purchase needed items. Call Judy at 410/822-2517 or Fran
886-2009 for questions or to volunteer. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 9-12 and Wednesday 3-6.

One correction in the article-the skipjacks in Dogwood harbor are the THOMAS CLYDE (not the STANLEY NORMAN)
and the REBECCA RUARK. Take a ride on the REBECCA and note that the CLYDE still dredges for oysters each winter.
TWO if by SEA CAFÉ. Sunday, September 14th, 4 pm. Cooking class. Learn about the Cuisine of Guatemala. Seating is

TILGHMAN ISLAND COUNTRY STORE. 5-7pm. Stop by for the Friday evening wine tastings featuring the wines of Italy.
Open for breakfast at 5 am-8 am on Sundays.
