Crumbo Announcement X
KIM CRUMBO JOINS WILDLANDS NETWORK Wildlands Network (WN) is extremely pleased to welcome nationally respected conservationist, Kim Crumbo, to our staff. As Western Conservation Director, Crumbo will be responsible for assisting Wildlands Network‘s Western Director, Kim Vacariu, in expanding WN outreach and partnerships with Western Wildway Network member organizations from Mexico to Canada. Crumbo will also represent WN in various campaigns, including wolf recovery and Grand Canyon Watershed National Monument designation, and other corridor and wilderness policy/protection activities. As part of a new WN ”job-‐sharing” effort designed to bridge capacity gaps between Western Wildway Network groups, Crumbo will continue as Grand Canyon Wildlands Council’s Conservation Director for ongoing conservation programs in the Grand Canyon Ecoregion, thereby increasing capacity for both organizations. "I’m extremely pleased to have this opportunity to directly work with a pioneering staff and board so deeply committed to protecting and restoring Wild Nature in North America," says Crumbo, who has received multiple recognitions for his past conservation work, including the Grand Canyon Chapter of the Sierra Club’s “Conservationist of the Year” award and the Wilderness Society’s “Environmental Heroes” award. According to Wildlands Network’s Executive Director, Greg Costello, “Adding someone of Kim Crumbo’s caliber to our staff is an important step in accelerating implementation of our vision for a connected Western Wildway.” Crumbo will continue working from his field office in Ogden, Utah.
