As part of our sponsorship with Destin Marathon we will
be working an aide station at the upcoming event on
April 17th.
In addition we would like to have a table at the expo to promote the club and
show our support for a local event. If there is enough support to volunteer
both days we plan to put a prize raffle in place for those that help out. Please
respond below or to the email sent out to let us know if you are interested in
supporting and what day would be best for you.

TRAIN & WIN (EVENT 1),
27 February, 30 A Casual
Ride
Diane, Anita, and Andrea
have the jump on that free
tune-up or $25 gift card by
completing the first TRAIN
and WIN event. The editor
didn’t land in FWB from
Dallas until 11:54, and
Rachel met him in the air on her way to San Antonio, so
we have excuses.
RACING EVENTS: Valentine’s Day was quite special for
John and Becky Lenz who crossed hand-in-hand at the
Mercedes Half Marathon. John helped Becky achieve a
personal time goal of 2:28! We won’t talk about the deer,
so we can keep the
memory special.
EC Tri represented
the Double Bridge run
well with four
participants. Rich
Torley and Levi
McNeely finished in
1:06 and 1:11 respectively and Kelly Booker crossed in
1:49. Tammy walked this one, but good to have her back
out on the pavement again! Jeanie Pendergraft ventured
into Mardi Gras land and completed the Half Marathon in
2:06.
And finally just in time for the newsletter we had four
club members complete the Seaside Half Marathon with a
new Very Bradley bag to show for it. Results were not
posted at the time of the newsletter, but Carol Strom did
mention she got a new Personal Record! Congrats to her
as well as Sarah Stone, Stephanie Benefield and Lynn for
grabbing a shiny new Vera Bradley bag.
