Welcome to The Mark Luxury Hotel Prague
The Mark Hotel is conveniently located in the very centre of Prague, just a few steps away from the
Municipal House and a short walk from the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and a number of
other historical landmarks.
The hotel is situated within a completely reconstructed building that dates back to the 15th Century
and was originally a baroque mansion. Its many famous owners include Count Felix Vršovec
Sekerka of Sedčice, Count František Věžník of Věžník (who gave the name to the building –
Věžníkovský Palace), and František Josef, the Count of Vrtba. The childless Count Vrtba
bequeathed the palace to the Lobkowicz family who then sold it to Gremial health funds. The first
reconstruction of the building was carried out in 1928 and then in 2008 it was completely restored,
resulting in a beautiful symbiosis of neo-classical elements and modern design.
The hotel opened its doors to its first guests in October 2008. Offering 75 generously built and
beautifully appointed rooms, most of them suites, the hotel offers timeless elegance combined with
tasteful contemporary features, furnishings and fittings.

Rooms and Suites
The hotel offers 28 spacious rooms and 47 luxurious suites that cover a total of 3,500 square metres.
With an average room size of more than 50 m2, The Mark Hotel provides the largest rooms of their
kind in Prague. For a truly luxurious experience, all rooms (except the “Superior” category) feature
a separate bedroom, comfortable living area with a dining corner and well-fitted kitchenette, large
working desk and walk-in closet. Many rooms feature private balconies offering stunning views
over Prague’s famous towers and rooftops. All individually, elegantly and practically fitted rooms
and suites feature air conditioning, LCD flat-screen satellite TV, DVD player (upon request), high
speed LAN and free Wi-Fi internet access, electronic safe, bathroom with heated floors and a
heated towel rack.
The spectacular Presidential Suite on the top
floor of the building offers the luxury and comfort
of a lavish private residence. Overlooking the
magical skyline of Prague, the terrace of the suite
features a Jacuzzi for the ultimate in relaxation, as
well as a bird’s eye view of the hotel’s special
enclosed garden. The 140 m2 large suite is
decorated in dark walnut and beige colours and
consists of two spacious bedrooms with two ensuite bathrooms, living room with fully equipped
kitchen and dining table for up to 16 guests.
The entire 7th floor of the hotel, where the Presidential Suite is situated, can be closed off to enable
its guests the ultimate in privacy.

Le Grill Restaurant and Courtyard Garden
The Le Grill Restaurant features the finest examples of The Mark's renowned cuisine, coupled with
attentive and refined service. Its award-winning Executive Chef, Ondřej Koráb, has created a menu
that includes both international and Czech delicacies, whilst its excellent desserts are the perfect
complement to each lunch or dinner. The overall menu is enhanced by the restaurant’s interior,
which is dominated by a gradational ceiling, a stunning red glass chandelier and neo-baroque tables
and chairs.
During the summer season, guests can enjoy a full menu in the hotel’s unique 1,800 m2 large
courtyard garden, with its baroque fountain and beautiful green scenery. Private garden offers
central Prague’s best possible setting for every type of event, as well as being the perfect place to
relax, enjoy great food, and celebrate a special occasion. Particularly popular with the local
community is the weekly garden barbecue with live piano music, that runs every Wednesday from
June until September.
Two Steps Bar and Winter Garden
The Two Steps Bar, with its vaulted neo baroque
ceilings and adjacent Winter Garden is the ideal
place to enjoy enticing cocktails and sumptuous
small dishes throughout the day and evening.
When the weather is nice, the winter garden
expands to a terrace that overlooks the hotel’s
private garden.

...Introducing Ondřej Koráb, Executive Chef
Ondřej Koráb acquired his culinary skills from true experts in
their field: shortly after graduation he travelled to London,
working for 2½ under the guidance of Michelin chefs in the best
restaurants of Great Britain. In Foliage Michelin-starred
restaurant he worked under British chef Chris Staines, which he
considers one of the most valuable experiences of his career. He
then worked in a team of renowned French chef, Daniel Boulud.
After exotic Asian and traditional European cuisine, he switched
to ‘molecular gastronomy’ under the expert tutelage of British
TV star Heston Blumenthal at The Dinner restaurant, which has
ranked among the top 5 two Michelin star restaurants of the
world. In September 2011, Ondřej went to Toronto, Canada,
where he cooked in a number of the best restaurants in the city,
before the prospect of trying his own recipes brought him back to
Prague to capitalize on his experience abroad and
display his unique cooking style. After 18 months
of working as a Junior Sous Chef, he started
working in Le Grill restaurant in February 2014,
becoming Executive Chef in June 2014.
For Ondřej, cooking is not just work, but fun. His
passion for creating the ultimate gastronomic
experience has led Ondřej to perform in several
competitions. From 2005 – 2008, he competed
with the junior national team of the Czech Republic, with which he won two silver medals in
international competitions in 2006 - the IKA Culinary
Competition, held in Erfurt, Germany, and the
Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg. In the same year,
the team was placed 1st in the Gastro Hradec culinary
competition. This was followed in 2007/2008 by a
junior category Chef of the Year bronze medal, a
position he defended well after returning from abroad
to win third place in the Chef of the Year 2013/2014 as
a senior. Ondřej’s favourite hobbies include attending
Michelin restaurants, his love of food also inspiring his
growing collection of first-class cookbooks.

Lobby Lounge
An attractive fireplace adds a cosy glow to the
hotel's comfortable Lobby Lounge, where guests
can enjoy delicious homemade cakes and pralines
beneath an elegant glass atrium, watching the
changing shades of day and night in the sky
above. Abstract artwork adds to the appeal of the
Lobby Lounge, which is an ideal spot to relax
after a long day of sightseeing, or to enjoy a
freshly brewed tea or coffee with friends and
family.
...Introducing Karolína Kocincová, Pastry Chef
Karolína Kocincová has been a member of the Le Grill team for the past four years. Her incredible
desserts, cakes and caramel sculptures have been awarded with several prestigious culinary prizes;
in June 2012 she was the winner of two categories in the 16th Annual Gastro Hradec Competition
held in the Czech Republic and, together with her team-mates, she represented the Czech Republic
in the IKA Culinary Olympics 2012 in Erfurt, Germany where she won a bronze medal. In the past
two years, Karolina, as a member of the culinary team representing the Czech Republic, arrived
home with two bronze medals from the renowned culinary competitions, Salon Culinaire Mondial
2013, held in Basel, Switzerland, and the Culinary World Cup 2014 held in Luxembourg.

...Introducing Jaroslav Svoboda, Managing Director and Co-owner
Jaroslav Svoboda graduated from a hotel high school in Prague in
1991. After his graduation he worked in luxury hotels and
restaurants in France and England. After his return to the Czech
Republic he held various operational, commercial and marketing
positions in a number of different hotels and gastronomy facilities in
Prague. In 2003 he founded the CZECH INN HOTELS company,
which currently operates 15 hotels and restaurants located in Prague
and in the Harrachov mountain resort. He is currently the only
director of the Czech Inn Hotels and one of the owners of the Mark
Hotel.
The Mark Gallery
The Mark gallery shows paintings and sculptures by renowned Czech artists. The paintings are
located in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge, whilst the larger sculptures can be found in the relaxing
ambience of the hotel’s courtyard garden. The gallery was opened in the spring of 2011 and since
then it has introduced and supported many Czech artists, including Zbynek Novotny, Jindra
Husarikova, Sarka Mrazova Cagliero, Eva Mansfeldova, Jadran Setlik, Mikolas Axmann, Peter
Niznansky and Boris Jirku.

Where Wedding Dreams Come True
The spacious Lobby Lounge and stunning private courtyard garden provide a beautiful and relaxing

garden is Prague's premium venue to host unforgettable summer
events. An extensive banquet menu offers a diverse range of
exceptional cuisine prepared by the hotel's award winning team
and served up by professional and attentive catering staff.

of a guest's room, or in the luxurious Mystic Temple studio in close proximity to the hotel. The
