Getting Started
Type http://patient.labcorp.com into your Internet
browser. Make sure you enter http:// in the URL.
(You may also want to bookmark this site in your
favorites.)
Step 1: Sign up
1.Click Sign up. It’s free! on the LabCorp Beacon:
Patient home page.
2. Create a new account by selecting Create a new
account for myself from the drop-down menu.
For secure delivery and storage of your
information, LabCorp Beacon: Patient connects
with Microsoft® HealthVault™. Click Next to
proceed with the registration process.
3. Sign in to Microsoft® HealthVault™. If you have
a Microsoft account, sign in with your user
name and password. Note: “Microsoft account”
is the new name for what used to be called a
“Windows Live ID.” It is the combination of
an e-mail address and password that you use
to sign in to services like Hotmail, Messenger,
and Xbox LIVE. If you do not have a Microsoft
account, click on Sign up now.
4. Complete the information requested. This
e-mail and password will become a Windows
Live ID that you will use to sign in to
HealthVault.
Enter the characters you see at the bottom of
the screen. You can request new characters if
needed. When done, click I Accept.
5. The next screen lets you know that you must
verify your e-mail address. Check the Inbox
of the e-mail address you used for a message
from the Microsoft account team. The e-mail
message may take a few minutes to show
up in your Inbox. Follow the instructions in
the e-mail to finish setting up your Microsoft
account. Once you validate your e-mail, you
will be returned to HealthVault to complete the
account setup.
Click OK on this screen.
6. After you click OK on the Ready to go! screen
you will be directed to enter your password on
this screen. Click Sign in.
7. On the Create a new HealthVault account
screen, verify the information listed. You can
update the information on this screen. Review
the instructions about clicking the Accept &
continue button. To continue, you must click
Accept & continue.
8. You are now at the screen that states:
LabCorp Beacon: Patient is requesting access
to information in HealthVault. Review the
information and click Allow access.
9. Step 2: Set up account screen. Enter the
information requested.
Returning Users
Click Sign In on the home page and then enter
your Windows Live ID credentials to log in to
HealthVault. Remember, if you have already created
a HealthVault account, this is considered a Windows
Live ID. You will not need to register again.

*LabCorp will provide the test results to your doctor before releasing them
to your LabCorp Beacon: Patient account.
