First Sunday Night WORSHIP TOGETHER!
The Mission in Honduras
I am looking forward to our first-of-the-month
Sunday night at the building for a “Worship Together.” This Sunday night we will be focusing
on our work in Honduras and talking about the
“big picture” of God’s work there which we are
privileged to be a part of. Ricky Pierce and our
recently returned Honduras brigade (’16) will be
talking about this year’s most recent trip and
how our efforts hopefully have contributed to the
ongoing work not only in Valley of the Angels (where we have worked for some time)
but also in Cantarranas and Villa de San Francisco.
Our efforts each year during the one week that
our team is on the ground, are to help the existing works by offering encouragement, support
and to do whatever we can do during our short
time to boost the ministries which continue
throughout the year. In one week we can only
do so much, which is why I am so proud that our
mission strategy goes far beyond what one team
can accomplish in one week. Carlos and Marla
Toledo and their children have a thriving ministry going as well as the work of Ambassadors for Christ! One of the greatest strengths of this work is that this is truly the work
of the entire Washington Street congregation. Even though each one of us may not be
able to go physically to Honduras, each one has contributed to the overall work through
prayer, through financial support and so many others ways… I cannot even express the
appreciation that the members in Honduras have for all of you! Carlos expressed to me
his thanks for our trust and confidence in he and Marla and the love we continually outpour into their family and into their ministry. I tried to tell him that we indeed regard it a
privilege to be a part of such a great work! Join us Sunday night (5pm) for an opportunity to share in this great work once again together!

On behalf of all of those who have been
honored with the “Card Shower” recently
started in the Mail-out bulletin for those
who are in nursing homes and shut-in at
home, we say a big thank you. What a
great idea! As I was recipient of this great
honor, I would like to say a big Thankyou for all the cards and calls that I received. I would also like to thank all of
you for the many nice meals, you have
brought to me since my surgery and recovery period. I love my church family
and miss all of you when I am not able to
attend services. Ruth McCauley
To keep our prayer list current. Prayer requests
will be published for four consecutive weeks in
both bulletins. If you desire for our prayer requests
to be extended for a longer period of time, please
let us know. Prayer requests can always be added
back to the prayer list. Our main purpose for this is
to keep our list updated so that we are not including
those who are departed. We would welcome your
input in helping keep our list updated.

Youth News
Dear Washington Street family,
Thank you so much for letting me work with your youth these past two summers! It has been a privilege to watch them
grow spiritually, and to become their friend. What a special bond we all have, being sons and daughters of Christ. Y'all
have such a special group on your hands. They will all do such wonderful things! I'm especially thankful for the family I
found in the ministry staff, with Wes, Steph, Greg, the Blacks, and the Smiths, and the families who opened their homes
to me, feeding me and housing me (shout out to you, Hunt and Alcorn families :)). I'm forever thankful for your love and
support. Y'all are all in my prayers and thoughts as you grow and serve in the Lord. I know that I'll always have a home
here at Washington Street.
I love you all dearly!
Kelsey Allen
Dear Washington Street family,
Thank you for allowing me to become a part of your community these past two summers. I've enjoyed my time here and it
pains my heart that it is now time to say goodbye. However, this is only a temporary goodbye. We are all now family and
share the common bond and love of Christ. You will all be forever in my heart. Wherever life takes us, we will always be
friends for life.
