ITINERARY
DAY 1 Overnight Flight to Barcelona
DAY 2 Barcelona Sightseeing
Explore Barcelona, a city of graceful Gothic churches, wroughtiron balconies and grand avenues filled with outdoor cafés. Take
a stroll through the mile-long pedestrian street of Las Ramblas
and visit the many markets and shops. Tour the Mercat de la
Boquería, where you can experience the bright colors of fruits
and vegetables, spices, and fresh seafood.
DAY 3 Barcelona
Follow in the footsteps of Saint Ignatius on his trail that includes
Jesuit’s church in Casp street and Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar.
Enjoy a traditional Flamenco show featuring guitars, dancers and
multiple instruments.
DAY 4 Gameday in Barcelona
Visit the La Sagrada Familia, the famous church that has been
under construction since 1882. Participate in a private mass
before taking on your Spanish competitors.
DAY 5 Sitges
Enjoy a beach day in Sitges located off the Costa Brava at your
own leisure.
DAY 6 Montserrat
Journey northwest of Barcelona on a half-day excursion to
Montserrat. Its mountain setting provides a dramatic backdrop
for the 9th-century monastery whose basilica houses the
Black Virgin Mary of Montserrat.
DAY 7 Tarragona
Tour Camp Nou Stadium, home to the famed FC Barcelona
Football Team. Visit their historical museum and walk through
the same rooms and hallways as the players.
DAY 8 Tarragona
Explore Tarragona, a city with years of medieval history, art
nouveau buildings, golden sandy beaches, crystal clear waters
and a picturesque fishing and marina neighborhood. Embark
on a fun afternoon of sailing the Costa Dorada coast in a
private catamaran and enjoy a BBQ awards dinner.
Day 9 Return to USA
