Overview of LMA
 LMA was Founded in 1998 by Sri Ramachary Komanduri
 Sri Ramachary is a music director, singer and
professional music instructor
 LMA has been providing free training and guidance to
scores of children for the past 14years
 Children of LMA have successfully emerged as winners
in various music competitions bringing fame and
recognition to the LMA
 LMA goal is to pass on our rich music heritage and moral
values to the future generations
 LMA-Dallas was founded in 2010 by Sri Ramachary
 LMA also conducts workshops in Sanjose, New Jersey,
Long Island, Boston, Minneapolis, Melbourne-Australia

 Review of components of a Song
 Sruthi, Laya, Basha, Bhavam, Presentation
 Learning songs
 Lyrics
 Tune
 Notation
 Vocal practice with and without karaoke track
 Breath management, modulation, expression etc while keeping shruthi
and laya in mind
 Semi classical songs, folk music, film and non-film songs with good
lyrical value
 Performance techniques - body language, holding mic., voice throwing etc
 Daily practice
 Warm-up vocal exercises
 Akaara sadhana
 Cumulative songs vocal practice
Workshop contents – Misc. items
 One long recess break for 20min
 Each student should bring their own snack and water
 All communication will be through email
 Website http://www.lmadallas.com will have
 Song Lyrics, Original Vocal Track, Karaoke Track
 Weekend classes
 Only one morning class (9am-12noon) for all students
 Every student must practice workshop songs at home
 2hrs/day recommended
 Do not practice a song prior to learning it in the workshop
 All students from the workshop will be performing during
the grand finale event “SWARARCHANA 2012”
