Dear Parents, Thank you for choosing Cedar Park Christian Schools for your family, and for participating in CPCS’s
transportation service. I trust this service will be a blessing to your family. The attached form is required for
transportation between Monroe, Echo Lake, and Maltby to the Bothell campus. Please read and sign a form for each
child that will be riding the bus. You may submit the form to the Finance Office.
I understand that the bus route transportation is an annual fee, and that it is divided into equal monthly charges and
will appear on your monthly statement.

If the Bothell campus is closed due to weather conditions, there will be NO transportation that day. Closures are

by the school policy relative to bus conduct as stated in the Handbook for Parents and Student and the
instructions of the driver.
Transportation charges will appear on my monthly statement. Charges are as follows:

Bus Route and Time Schedule

The bus will leave the Fred Meyer store in Monroe at 7:00 am, the Echo Falls Golf Course at approximately
7:20 am, and Maltby Christian Assembly by 7:35 am. Arrival at the Bothell campus is anticipated to be 7:55
am. Students will be dismissed from class at 2:45pm and the return trip bus will leave the Bothell campus at
3:00 pm and make the stops in reverse order. The length of time between
each stop in the afternoon should be about the same as the morning, and it should arrive at the Monroe Fred
Meyer by 4:00pm. Please note that we will not be providing a second bus for those involved in after-school
activities.
It will be critical that you notify the child’s teacher early in the day if your child will not be riding the return bus
on a day that he or she would normally be expected to ride.

Arrival times may also depend on traffic. Parents, please, you must be on time both at the morning drop off and at
the afternoon pick up points. Our arrangements with these very kind establishments are that our students will not
be waiting unattended and the bus cannot wait either. Thank you.

CPCS Bus Route, Student Conduct Form
The following rules are for all Cedar Park Christian Schools’ students who are transported on
a school bus route to and from a school campus. Please understand that these expectations
are intended for the safety of our students and drivers.
SCHOOL VEHICLE RULES (see CPCS Parent/Student Handbook, p.23)
The following are rules relating to students riding in school bus route vehicles. These
rules include, but are not limited to:
1. Students being transported are considered under the authority of the vehicle’s driver.
2. Students may not sit in the driver's seat, operate controls, or be in the driver's area.
3. Fighting, wrestling, or boisterous activity is prohibited in the vehicle.
4. Students shall use the emergency door only in case of emergency.
5. Students shall not bring animals, firearms, weapons, or other potentially hazardous materials
on the vehicle.
6. Students shall remain seated while the vehicle is in motion.
7. When necessary to cross the road, students shall cross in front of the vehicle or as instructed
by the driver.
8. The driver may assign students seats.
9. Students shall not open or close windows without the permission of the driver.
10. Students shall not extend their hands, arms or heads through the windows.
11. Students shall converse in normal tones; loud or vulgar language is prohibited.
12. Students shall keep the vehicles clean, and must refrain from eating in the vehicles, or
otherwise damaging them. Water is the only beverage allowed on school vehicles.
13. Students shall be courteous to the driver, to fellow students, and to passers-by.
Additionally:
To avoid confusion and provide a safe environment for each elementary student that has been previously
signed up to ride the afternoon bus route, they will be placed on the bus unless the classroom teacher
has received notification by 12:00 noon by email, telephone, or text message.
Our signatures below indicate that our family is in agreement with all applicable guidelines and will do
our best to obey and support the bus driver and the CPCS transportation policies.
