ARDENTE SUPPLY OPENS WATERSPOT, THE LARGEST KITCHEN AND BATH
SHOWROOM IN RHODE ISLAND
Dynamic and Upscale, WaterSpot Offers Thousands of Products
– and Many “Exclusives”
Providence, RI (May 5, 2008) - Ardente Supply, Rhode Island's oldest plumbing, heating, cooling and
industrial supplier has opened WaterSpot, a retail showroom in Providence. This new store boasts
6,000 sq. ft. of space, defining it as the largest in kitchen and bath showroom in Rhode Island. The Providence location joins WaterSpot outlets in Framingham, MA and Westerly and Woonsocket, RI.
WaterSpot is an oasis for interior designers, homeowners and re-modelers, architects, contractors,
developers, and plumbers. Modeled after the company’s award-winning WaterSpot showroom in
Westerly, the Providence location is sleek, elegantly designed and appointed, with thousands of
European and American high-end, designer brands as well as a selection of products for more modest
budgets. Whether shopping for decorative door pulls and locks, state-of-the-art whirlpools, saunas,
vanities, bathroom lighting, towel racks, soap dishes, shower systems or relaxation tubs, customers
will find a selection that is easy to navigate, and vignettes that offer great decorating ideas.
“The WaterSpot concept is part of our overall expansion plan, which we developed a few years ago,”
said Mark Ardente, president of Ardente Supply. He continued, “We are thrilled to have added a third
WaterSpot, particularly since Providence is Ardente’s oldest location. This showroom will continue to
give our customers the best products along with the quality service in which we have always prided
ourselves.”
Paul Ardente said, “We’ve identified the higher end retail consumer and created a destination
showroom for them.” He added, “Our range of exclusive, unique product lines can’t be found anywhere
else, and we are sure that they will be received by our customers with as much enthusiasm as we
have.“

WaterSpot is mindful of all of current trends in outfitting a bathroom or kitchen, and the trend
towards “green” is not forgotten here. While the average bottle of water takes 2 hours to drink,
its plastic bottle will take 200 years to degrade. No need to waste money or make waste on the
planet. WaterSpot offers an environmentally friendly selection of water filtration systems with
options such as chilled, carbonated water dispensers. Additionally, the conservationist will find
a dual-flush 1.2 -gallon toilet at WaterSpot – saving water with a push of a button.
Luxury is WaterSpot’s middle name. With the THG Paris flaunting European elegance, customers
will find unrivaled objects of beauty, such as Lalique crystal faucets and accessories. Herbeau
Creations redefines bath in a couture brand. In business more than 100 years, this French
company continues to create authentic, original designs using the founder’s 19th Century molds
– some enameled earthenware, others copper and porcelain. The Phylrich line may be the last
word on “bling.” Its decorative and ornamental faucets and bathroom accessories are unique to
WaterSpot. Sinks and faucets with Carrara marble or in 14-carat gold in styles classic, baroque
or colonial, Phylrich’s variety is unparalleled. The Samuel Heath line includes beautiful hardware
and accessories and the Perrin & Rowe company, based in England, delivers a unique line of
faucets. Looking for a warm glow in your bathroom? WaterSpot carries Native Trails’ exquisite
copper bathtub, in which tired muscles can be therapeutically soaked away.
For people who think about preparing for their later years, WaterSpot offers Ponte Giulio, a
beautiful Italian line that includes a wide range of ADA, compliant bathroom products. Nothing is
drab in this colorful, stylish and fashionable selection of walk-in showers and baths, grab bars,
and bath accessories.
Villeroy & Boch’s line of bathroom products lives up to the brand’s reputation for sophisticated
design and definition. It’s modern, European style and ultimate quality are captivating.
Dornbracht, the German brand of distinction, offers architectural, sleek solutions for modernminded individuals.

For baby-boomers, WaterSpot carries several lines for exquisite pampering. Maax Pearl Bath is a
company that offers whirlpool and massage tubs, including aromatherapy and chromatherapy.
Scents of lavender permeate the bath water, and the bather can adjust a swath of color in light,
according to his or her mood. Available In seven color choices, the Chromatherapy will change
from white, which purifies the spirit, to purple, which promotes a sense of tranquility. Of course,
after soaking in such luxury, cold towels simply will not do. WaterSpot’s large range of freestanding and mountable towel warmers will do the trick.
WaterSpot’s selection of kitchen products has grown to include new product lines for any
makeover or new construction. In keeping with the trend for farm-style sinks, the showroom has
many choices in stone, marble, porcelain, cast iron and stainless steel. Brands being
introduced include Elkay, Herbeau, and Julien (a company that offers 16-gauge hand-polished
stainless). In total, WaterSpot has 46 kitchen sinks on display.
Ardente Supply is the original and oldest distributor of Toto and American Standard products,
and continues to carry them. Tried and true lines round out the showroom selection, including
Grohe, Jado and Porcher.
Along with the expansion of the showroom, WaterSpot has a 40-seat state-of-the-art conference
room complete with A/V. The room is available to the trade for presentations, employee
training, or general meetings.
WaterSpot hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. For additional store information, contact Paul or Mark Ardente,

With a rich heritage as a leader in plumbing and heating supplies, the Ardente family contributes
over 60 years’ experience to homeowners, contractors, designers, architects, and engineers in
planning bath, kitchen, heating, cooling, and plumbing systems.
The 2006 acquisition of Boston’s Thompson-Durkee, an industry leader for over a century, further
enhances the company’s product offerings, service, and expertise. This proficiency, combined with
its exemplary customer care and attention, makes the award-winning WaterSpot Stores and
Showrooms the best of New England.
