How to Use My Week
GLRC Membership USE
 You must be an ‘ACTIVE’ member of GLRC Canada (member in
good standing. i.e. paid in full for current year)
 If you choose to use your home resort ‘Portofino’ in Cabo San
Lucas, Mexico, please contact your management company
at 1-877-699-7333

 Portofino check-in is Thursday to Friday, if you have problems
finding flights for those dates please contact our office and we
will strive to accommodate your requests.
101 Timeshare - Trading
 If you want to exchange you must first acquire a membership at any exchange
company.

* I.E. You have to be an ‘ACTIVE’ member of GLRC Canada (member in good
standing)

* If you would like to exchange, deposit your week into the ‘BANK’ (called
banking), you have to call us at: 1 - 877 - 609 - 7333 and inform us, we will
bank the week for you.

* Once we have deposited the week for you (takes up to 72 hours) you have
the option to use your 2012 week in 2012 or within the next two years. You are
able to accumulate your weeks every year and use your weeks the following year.
 (example: 1 week in 2012 + 1 Week in 2013 + 1 week 2014= 3 weeks)
Using Your Week
 You are entitled to the use of one week within your given year.
 Your week must be used in that given year at your Home resort or
deposited into an exchange company.
 Deadline for banking your week is September of your given year.
 Exchange companies ask you to bank your weeks 90 days ahead
for optimal trading power.
 You are able to accumulate your weeks every year and use your
weeks the following year. (example: 1 week in 2011 + 1 Week in
2012 + 1 week 2013= 3 weeks)
Can I book in advance?
 If you are booking your week at your Home resort, you are
able to book up to One Year in advance.
 When booking one year in advance you need to make sure
that your maintenance fees are paid in full.
 If you are looking to bank your week with an exchange
company you are able to do this up to two years in advance.

 Fees would have to be paid in advance when banking your
week’s, years in advance.
Where can I use my week?
 You are able to use your week at your Home resort, which is
Portofino Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
 We also have available for you a direct exchange to the
Banff Gate Mountain Resort located in Canmore, Alberta.
 There are no exchange fees involved with BGMR and no
hassle of having to deal with the exchange companies.

Bonus Days & Weeks
 As a member of the Grand Lakefront Resort Club Canada you are entitled to
Bonus Days & Weeks.
 To book a bonus week you need to contact the office.
 At this time the desk agent will let you know of availability for the dates that you
are looking for.
 The rate for a bonus week in 2012 is $450.00 plus GST.
 Special Available from August 1st to September 1st for $ 350.00
 To book bonus days at Portofino you need to contact the office 4-6 weeks in
advance, to find out availability for the dates you are looking to book.
 Bonus days are the nights we have left available in low season and when
timeshare weeks are not booked in.
 If you are looking to add a few bonus nights to your timeshare stay at the Resort
you are able to do this in advance.
Renting or Selling Your Week
 If you are looking to rent your week or sell your
membership you are required to do so on your own.
 We do not rent or sell any weeks for the members.
When you rent your week you need to contact the
office to make us aware of your rental, we need the
new Guest Information.
 The guest you are renting it to will also need the
original Confirmation Letter you received from the
office.
How To Sell My Week?
 When you are selling your timeshare you are able to
download the transfer documents off of the main Website.

 If you do not have access to a computer call the office and
we will arrange for the documents to be sent out to you.
 There is a transfer fee of $299.25 in order for the office to
complete your transfer. Here is a list of companies that can
