This is one of the most exciting weeks of the school year
for SCA families and students. It is Fun Night! We have
so many games and activities and delicious food (including
sushi) planned, plus lots of prizes and giveaways!

We will have both silent and live auctions. Thanks to the Elementary
classes who put together some great baskets! Some are literally worth
hundreds of dollars! Live Auction starts at 6:45pm - Stop by the Main
Lobby to see the items included in the Silent Auction and put in an early
bid before Fun Night on Saturday!
“First Fruits”
We are getting ready to begin our
giving campaign
for this year. This is a chance for each of our families to give a freewill
offering to the school. When you understand the principle of first fruits of the
Bible I think you want to participate in this event. More info will be out soon!

KITCHEN HELP
We are hoping the new kitchen will
be ready in the next few weeks!!!
We will need kitchen help starting
October 17th! We need several
people who can help from 5:307:30pm. This will include serving
food, cleaning up and running the
dishwasher. Contact Dr. Lindsted in
the office, if you are interested.
Upcoming Important Dates for Senior High Students

October 26 Cap/Gown, Announcement orders due $60 down payment 7:30am
November 20 Absolute Deadline for ordering Graduation Supplies from Jostens!
Junior High and Senior High Parent-Teacher Conferences
Junior and Senior High Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Friday October
21st from 8am to 5pm. These conferences are intended for parents of students who have
C’s, D’s, or F’s on their grade cards. Grade cards will be sent home with students on
Tuesday October 18th or Wednesday October 19th. You will also be able to check iNow to
see your student’s grades. Please call the Jr High/Sr High Office to sign up for a conference
time with each of your student’s teachers as is necessitated by the grade received. 15-minute
time slots will be allotted per student per teacher. If you foresee that your student may
receive one of the above grades in a class feel free to call ahead and reserve your time
slot. You may call and cancel if that grade is an A or a B on the grade card. Tables will be
set up in the Old Gym to meet with the teachers.
Note: If your child is making a D or an F you are required to come to parent teacher
conferences whether you have an elementary, junior high, or high school student.

We have people going to Haiti to assess the needs! We are considering
sending a container, but will not make that decision until after our
representative goes down! PLEASE DO NOT bring in items until we
have made a decision! We do not have room to store them at this time!
We will let you know as soon as we make a decision!

PIANO LESSONS: Susanne Haynes is now accepting piano students! Susanne was educated in piano
pedagogy and performance at WSU and has been teaching and accompanying for over twenty-seven
years. Lessons are $50 a month per student, for one private half hour lesson a week; this includes three
