atmosphere that encourages students to
connect and build friendships. Children learn to
respect each other and live in community.
Worship – As a school we gather together to
pray, sing praises and read God’s word together.
Build – Staff and parents work together to build
a strong foundation for children to grow based
on Christian values.

Awarded for Excellence
Sonrise Christian Academy was awarded the Exemplary School Program Award
for 2008-09 from ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) for being an
innovative educational program in the category of spiritual enrichment.
In 2004 and 2005 Sonrise was selected as a finalist for the Donner Canadian
Foundation Award for Excellence in the delivery of traditional education. The Donner
Awards recognizes excellence by Canadian non-profit organizations in the delivery
of social services.
Home School Program
Home school families have the option of enrolling on a part time basis. We offer
instruction in French, Music, Art and Physical Education two afternoons a week for
children in grades 1 to 8.
